adi2004 Wrote:Hmmmn. I don't like this version. For the first time since I've been using GB-PVR an upgrade has caused me hassle. as I'm scrolling up and down the main menu I keep getting a popup box "The object is currently in use elsewhere"

I don't want to do it, but I guess it's going have to be an uninstall and rollback to the prior version.
OK, I'm looking in to this.

I havnt seen this myself when I'm using my MVP, and none of the other guys testing the pre-release indicated they had this problem.

Can you tell me what CPU you have in your machine?

Changes in v95.11.....

-- Now using asynchronous handling of MVP key presses. This should help users that were getting disconnects on operations taking more than about 8 seconds.

Hi,

sub Wrote:You can still have different sized buttons on different screens if you need to. It'll first look for the button definition in the skin.xml, and if that is not found it'll look in the BaseElements.xml...so, just define them what ever size you want in skin.xml and it wont use the ones listed in BaseElements.xml

yes, I've already had a look to BaseSkin.xml. But in the recordings screen, I need two different buttons - one for the "normal" stuff and one for the "popup" stuff - and in the popup, those ones called "PopupNormalButtonImage" should be displayed, but they aren't. Instead, those ones called "NormalButtonImage" are shown, and it doesn't matter if they are defined in the current skin.xml file or in BaseSkin.xml.

Attach some screenshots (not too large), with arrows pointing to the exact buttons your talking about and I'll try to help you.

Call me dense, but how does one get the horizontal menu that's been included?
You can never have enough tuners!

You only get the horizontal menu if the skin you're using is designed for it.

The skin designers can make the skin use the horizontal menu by adding the following to 'main menu\skin.xml':

<SpecialElement name="MenuType" type="GBPVR.HorizontalMenuTask"/>

It's an Athlon XP2000+ running Windows XP Pro. Everything else seems to work, except I have also noticed that on some menu navigations the menu items vanish to be replaced by just the background image for a few seconds, then the buttons reappear; almost as though the program is doing an internal restart.

No. There will never be an option in GB-PVR to record straight to xvid or divx on MPEG2 cards like those provided by Hauppauge, but you can set GB-PVR to convert the file to xvid, divx, ipod mp4 etc, either immediately after the recording or during the night.

GB-PVR will record directly to divx if you use a device with hardware divx encoder, like the Plextor PX-TV402U.
