Sorry, I dont know. One other user had this on the last release. Its something to do with failing install the Windows Media Player wrapper.

You could try logging the installation. It may give some useful info.

Code:
msiexec /i c:\GBPVR09516.msi /l*v c:\install.log

You can send it support@devnz.com. I'm not an expert at reading MSI installer logs, but hopefully its something nice and obvious.

Sub,

As usual, you've excelled yourself. Now get some sleep.

It's definatly not something easy, and from what I've googled, it appears to be an issue with either the .net framework or windows media player...and theres no resolution yet Sad

I had the same error. Don't know if the course of your problem is identical to mine, but on my machine the problem resolved when I removed .NET 2.0 beta and installed .Net 2.0 final Rolleyes

I dont create any folder called KeyMapping.NEW. Are you sure you didnt manually create this? I just checked by doing a test install on a clean machine. I didnt get this folder.

You're correct though, I dont attempt to retain keymappings, since it adds a fair bit of work for me, and the majority of people never change them. You'll just have to manually merge any changes you made.
