it would appear that you can generate an exception by hitting enter to track details then use the arrow keys to move through the details rapidly and three times in a row I have generated and invalid mp3 file error

"Exception with MPEG Frame Info: The MPEG header of the audio frame starting at byte 3305332 is in an invalid format."

the byte postion changes obviously depending on the track

If I delete all the .m3u files from my collection

then from the config app click on remove missing should it delete the .m3u files from the database ?

Fixed a heap of bugs found on that first release.

As ever needs, CommonGBPVRUtilties and Skin files. I haven't done a HUGE amount of testing with this little release, since I was mainly firefighting the crappy earlier release :mad: So forgive me if there are one or two more. But it should be much better.

• Fixed a drawing bug with the pop up buttons
  
• Fixed a bug with the path saving
  
• Fixed a bug inthe database
  
• Figured out an event notifcation wasn't working to tell me when a playlist had finished, had to do it another way
  
• Couple of other bugs in the playlist deletion
  
• Added more error catching on MP3 files where bitrate or size tags are invalid, they now show up an 'n/a'
  
• Track deletion in the playlists is done by the Ctrl-K key (Record)
  
• M3U Playlists were not being deleted on a library scan.

This version is looking pretty good after some limited testing this morning

one query about the following statement on your first post

Changed the random code from the main screen to randomise the currently selected titles. So for a random of everything, choose all, all. But you can now randomise an album/genre or artist or any combination thereof.

if I choose a random playlist with ALL ALL selected on the library screen it correctly chooses the music for me, but when the playlist is finished the next random playlist is selected using the settings on the library screen I am at, at that particular time

which could of course be anything at all, I only noticed because all the random tracks came from one particular album

I can see why you would want this type of behaviour particularily if you where to start a random playlist of an artist or genre, but is there anyway you could add a config option so that a fully random ALL/ALL playlist continued that way when the next selection is chosen

Ok, I see how that could be annoying. I'll be able to do somehing about that.

exactly and I presume it currently would do the same for any type of random play artist / genre etc which probably would be just as annoying / confusing

I have now tried defining 3 collections and told the config app to scan,
there are about 10000 tracks in total held in 3 seperate local folders

but the scan fails with the following error

What are the collections actually used for ?

as I said in the above post I created 3 collections but I dont see anywhere in the app to actually choose the collection I want to play music from

If you have a random playlist playing when it gets to the end of the playlist if the screensaver is on it generates the playlist but does not actually start playing it until the screen saver goes off and the screen gets redrawn

ok, that error is kinda useless. It does that in a scan? And do you have M3U playlists in those 3 directories?? Looks like it's having problems defining something with the scan.

Do you have MsAccess there?? If you do, open up the musiclibrary2.mdb

And do a design on the playlists table. Then change the filename field from text 255 to a memo.

That random thing, it's because originally i have event notifications from GBPVR working, then after the release i figured out it wasnt working, and had to do randoms from the screen redraw. I'll have to investigate further, i had someone help me on that.



Finally the collections when they are defined, you can set one of them to default in the config app. Then from within gbpvr press the menu button (home key) and down the bottom is the ability to change which collection is being used.

Now i think I've stuffed up here, and when you change collection within gbpvr it make it the default for next time. I may remove that, so that you can change the avtive collection with gbpvr, but you can only change the default from the config app.
