As a moderator of your own sub-forum, you will see threads and posts that the average joe does not (Which is the case now). Sub would have to delete it for you to no longer see it.

Is there any way a moderator can change the title (and, maybe, the icon) of an existing thread? Can't seem to find that amongst the moderator options.

I'm not really sure what you guys see exactly. Do you get the 'thread tool' link in the bar immediately above the first post on the page? This has an 'edit thread' option which does this, but I'm not sure if only I get that or moderators too.

Brilliant! I just hadn't noticed that link (I was fixating on the Moderation pull down at the bottom of the page). The 'edit thread' option is just what the doctor ordered.
