New Showburner 2.1 with full installer!

OK, so taking out the profiles in config.xml, deleting burndvd.bat, and deleting the showburner folder and then running the installer again got it working.

I went to burn my first disk and the descriptions were there, so that looked great. However, when watching the DVD there are a lot of blockies (artifacts) and sometimes the sound will stutter. It isn't happening constantly, but frequently enough to make it hard to watch. It plays fine through GBPVR, just when I burn to DVD it does this. I am maybe thinking it has something to do with imgburn because I used Nero before and tried switching to imgburn previously (before the new installer) and noticed this as well back then so I went back to Nero.

sounds like it may be your drive or discs compatibility with imgburn...i left the Nero line in there so people who have it will be able to just uncomment that line and adnjust it...

you may want to open imgburn with "imgburn /settings "imgburn.ini" " and look at settings to make sure ok for your system, then exit to save settings...
[make imgburn.ini not read-only first tho..]

i tried to remove any machine sepecific .ini settings, but may have to go thru and only include settings i know it needs...


Mila: not yet in this version, soon maybe, haven't had time for testing it lately..[tho i do know now i can watch themto test for myself...]
so once i get this version down pat, i'll get to work on the PAL mods...

The newest installer by far works the best....to get mine to work though i had to go in and change the areas that call ffmpeg so that they showed the detailed location (i.e. C:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\third party\ffmpeg.exe...) I am not sure why this has to be done on my machine but if i do not do this the imgburn program will run and create a dvd with no information on it. However, once this is added the dvd burns correctly.

PBS, would there be any harm in making this change in the installer so that no one else will run into this problem or is this definitely an isolated incident?

yea,i will probably do that just cuz i can... shouldn't be too hard, just thought it would be ok with relative paths...but since the installer knows the full path it won't be much to replace all paths with the correct full one..
will put in next release...

Anyway of recording just the encoded divx or xvid file to dvd for archiving purposes

Not sure what showburner is supposed to be doing... I installed, but when I select a file and hit 'Transcode' then Add to DVD, then Start... nothing happens... Is there something I am missing?

found a bug which could cause title/subtitle not to be displayed...
using a network path from video library to select files wouldn't find it in the database if it was stored with a normal drive letter, now uses name only to search db for info...
also to be included in next release..[sometime tonite or tomorrow.]

working on making sound files to notify when too much added to disk.

that's all it's supposed to do....then after adding files to the 'que' you select "burn dvd" from transcode menu to do the actual burn
[that way you can add as many as will fit to dvd]

Sorry, guess I didn't finish my thoughts... then I select 'Burn DVD' and nothing happens. If I try something else like transcoding to WMV 700 k/s then it DOES do something. Where do I look to troubleshoot this one?

try new upload...cleaned it up alot, [was having problems with the config edits]
and added voice prompts and made all full paths so should solve a lot of problems..

to unistall old one, remove the showburner lines from config.xml yourself, or copy config.bac over it. [better to edit yourself tho,easy]
and delete showburner dir and that should do it..
[it will overwrite those anyways]

the old version would remove whole list if last file was too large, now it only removes last one and it tells you why..

new upload...seems i added an extra {} in there when adding files...
i just got on the fly voices working for under 200k!!
now i will be able to "tell" you anything about your compilation..even while video is playing!

like what the current total size is, what's going on while burning, when burning is completed....
i even made a batch file to "tell" you how big a file is from video library..

any suggestions on what you want voiced?

Not sure if you'd rather this was posted as a new thread - just say, but when I try to burn a DVD, after a couple os seconds I get an error @Console1 application has encoutered a problm and needs to close - Please tell Microsoft.

This is the part of GBPVR.log at that time. Where should I look for more information please?
