Just as I've stacked up a full evening/nights recordings (Blues Brothers again, Richard Hammonds interview etc) along comes the new versions - ah Well, another non-shopping day - I'll start my Christmas shopping one of these coming days.

The support thread seems quiet as well - bodes well for a nice stable release.

That would be the issue. Sub made changes in the streaming portion that makes the new version incompatible with the old server. You will need to upgrade your server to 99.5 as well.

Thanks Brian,

I will give it a go tomorrow. I have several recordings tonight I don't want to mess up.

I noticed in prerelease that YouTube looks kinda bad in general. Dark, pixelated, jerky...

But after quite a bit of testing I'd say that that's YouTube for you...

Most of the YouTube videos are sized for viewing in a small window on their website, not displaying full screen on a tv. Plus it's not like the people who made these videos used $250,000 cameras like the tv studios do Smile I haven't really found many videos on YouTube that look great on the computer let alone the tv.

Well the nice thing of this new plugin and also the efforts of e.g. UBU is that it demonstrates this emerging new paradigm where WEB content can be merged with other audio/visual sources in a simple task oriented and consistent interface. It is not perfect, but this community is building part of that new paradigm. I find it thrilling to watch this development. Thanks to all the contributors.

sub Wrote:.

Skin changes:
- added a couple of additional named colour definitions to TV Guide skin.xml
- added new popup to settings.xml skin file in system skin directory
- added "ReminderPrompt" in osd skin.xml
- added the youtube skin.xml file

Does the default blue skin inthe tv guide have the reminder option? if so what button is it on the remote/keyboard?
Nice release I don't think there is much more you can add to the pvr side of your app.

I would like to voice my support for the YouTube plugin in 99.5. I love it, my wife loves it, and we would really like to see continued support for it. I hope you decide to continue work on it. Also the upgrade went very well, no problems after the update. Thanks sub!
