I cant see in the logs where you're trying to play the trailer file?

On my system I get something like this when I play a trailer:

....

Do you get the 'press play to watch a trailer...' message on the film info pages?

No - just the red X at top left. I don't get any film info either - maybe that's the problem.,..

The logs tell me you're using the BlueMCE2 skin. Can you try to play a trailer using the Blue skin? I think this is a skin problem.

Probably, you need to press play on the film info pages to play a trailer, not on the films entry in a list.

Spot on - well-diagnosed. Switching skins works. Do you know which file is missing?

that should also be in the logs... look for "error"... or try using the community skin, it works with most everything.

a big red X is basically a big pointer to a problem with a skin:p

Its not a file its a definition of a the film info screen which is missing.

Not wanting to blow my own trumpet but I also recommend switching to the Community skin, it has a BlueMCE2 theme that you may find familiar and is updated regularly.

I installed the quick time alternative and can play the trailers from the trailer directory fine. When I attempt to view the trailers in gbpvr then it crashes with the standard 'gbpvr has encounterd a problem and needs to close' windows where you can send an error report to microsoft. I was able to view trailers before after I first installed everything. I'm using the community skin. Here are the logs from the last time it happened.logs.zip

If you add C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\Plugins\InternationalCinemaListings\Trailers\ as a 'place' in GB-PVRs video libary can you play the trailers from there?
