not sure where it keeps the logs for moviewiz as not in the moviewiz folder and no moviewiz files in the log files

attached is log files from the log folder, and the message received when adding a movie

sort of sorted but not ideal

but it's the same for most plugins and gbpvr under vista 32

they don't work properly unless you disable UAC

you have an old version of MovieWiz -
Version : 1.0.11.0

Download and install newest version 1.0.11.2, it should work for you.

Looks like maybe a problem with the db. If it's not too big, can you zip and post?

will do this tonight - only around 145k

only query is that if db error then surely it wouldn't work if disable uac, as would have same issue, but it lists the films without problems

I've taken a look and it seems to work ok.
  • I can run config on mine, see your movie entries w/thumbnails.
  • I can run plugin on mine, see your entries, and am able to scroll thru them.
Can you describe the problems you are having again?

Also, make sure you have the most current release of the plugin.

as mentioned in previous post before posted the database, i managed to sort it

the configuration runs fine under vista premium, but the minute you go into gbpvr and choose movie wizard it says there are no entries in the database.

but if you disable uac, ensure you have full admin rights on the gbpvr folder and sub-folders, reboot you can run the plugin under gbpvr without any problems.

a nice feature of the plugin would be to read amc files (ant movie catalog), as i've got to re-catalogue over 300 movies for this plugin Sad

Ah, ok, so on Vista, the trick is to disable UAC and ensure full admin rights.

I'll take a look at the ant catalog as I have had this request in the past. Most likely it will take the shape as an import function.

Are the catalogs very big? Any chance you could send me a sample to work with?
