Here is my list:
[COLOR="DarkRed"]
  • Operating System XP Pro SP2
Back to SP2 from SP3 because seems more stable. Now installed XP PRO English + MUI to set it to Italian language. Updates performed by autopatcher (I have 6 PC’s to manage: work + wife + home).
  • Video card used ATI Radeon X300
  • Analogue or digital tuner? Both
Three HVR-1300 cards installed. Using both tuners DVB-T and Analog but most of recording are done on DVB-T.
  • Video renderer VMR9
  • Video decoder ffdshow
  • Audio decoder ffdshow
  • MPEG2 Demultiplexor ELECARD
Playing my old garbled analog recordings it revealed more stable than the default Microsoft one.
  • DVD decoder Cyberlink
Included in K-Lite Codec Pack 2.84 Full (codec comes from Power DVD 7)
  • Codec pack K-Lite Codec Pack 2.84 Full
I tested also v. 4.0 but I have found no relevant improvements
  • Multiplexor ATI (or alternatively THMpgMux)
  • DivX / XviD decoder ffdshow
  • Using PVRX2 on CRT or LCD/plasma? CRT
  • Display connection S-Video
  • Remote MCE 2005
  • Extensions 2xMedia MVP
  • MVP Dongle 2006-07-20
  • Dongle uploader TFTPD32
I preferred to manage dongles by tftpd32 because it offers more stability and continuity (GBPVR sometime lacks). Note: I have two separtated networks: one (powerline) for MVP's, the second (WiFi) to access to internet.

Thought I would update what I am using - mostly very pleased with the results I am getting now, especially since 1.3.7 corrected aspect ratio of anamorphic DVD's.

Operating System: XP Pro SP3
Video card: ATI Radeon 3450 (no fan)
Analogue or digital tuner? 2xDVB-T, 1xDVB-S
Video renderer: VMR9 FSE
Video decoder: ATI Mpeg decoder
H264 decoder: CoreAVC (sadly I cannot get DXVA2 working well in VMR9 or overlay on XP. It works perfectly in VMR-7 but this is not available in PVRX2)
Audio decoder: Nvidia Purevideo for MPEG & AC3, ffdhsow for MP3
BDA Multiplexor: ATI MUX
DVD decoder: Purevideo
DivX / XviD decoder: ffdshow
Using PVRX2 on CRT or LCD/plasma? LCD @ 1360*768
Display connection: DVI-HDMI
Remote: HOP-HOG 45-button
Lounge media center; Asus UEFI mobo-Intel Core i5-GeForce GTX970-Samsung EVO SSD 256gb-2x Samsung F1 1tb-NovaT USB-Nova HDS2-Samsung 51" plasma
