UltraXMLTV runs manually, freezes when GBPVR calls it

You were suppsoed to copy the file out of the zip and overwrite the existing enhancer. Then open it and close it, no need to process. It snagas a look at your database for your recording schedule.

That is exactly what I did the first time. I may have been thrown off by the time stamp of the scheduledshows.txt file because you are one hour ahead of me and when I sorted the files in the directory I saw that your patched app was the newest file in the directory so I assumed the schedshows.txt was old.

When I finish recording some programs at 11:00pm PDT I will reboot the computer and then try what you requested again.

the reason is, I noticed from your settings, that you are NOR grabbing all programs. So I want to know what programs Ultra IS grabbing extra info for. Sorry if I'm not explaining myself that well. But I already know the problems you're having and I'm just preparing a package for you

I just checked and, contrary to what the Wiki says about the UltraXMLTV Manager "is currently unavailable within the UltraXMLTV download", it is included in the zip file that contains the latest Ultra executable.

When the dust settles, you might want to put a different ZIP file on the wiki that doesn't have the Manager in it.

Oh I know it's there. I just don't want anyone to use it. Only look and no touch...

It's actually there cause some people are using it with out trouble. It's just something I don't want to support. Too many troubles. It was suppsoed to make life easier for the uninitiated, but it just makes it tougher and more complicated...

OK. First, in Ultra, Config Episodes, check both Ask TVdb and Ask Episodes.com

Soon I will dissallowing the chance to just choose only Epguides. TVdb is primary and Epguides is only optionally secondary...

For the time being, make sure your GB-PVR recording service is set to Interact with Desktop. (Again, I don't believe this is the problem, but who knows?)

Next overwrite your two batch files: xmltv-run.bat and updateEPG.bat in their respective directories. (I've rewritten them)

These two batch files I've included assumes that your files are in the paths that you have written in the examples you sent me before. They are NOT in the suggested location from the wiki, that's for sure.... (Just WHAT are we gonna do with all the neat freaks, anyway? :confused: )

Once the files are in place, double click the UpdateEPG.bat and watch to be sure your xmltv downloader runs, downloads, exits, and then Ultra starts up. It should increment very quickly, (because you have not selected to get all information) and then reach the end and close.

You should then have an enhanced xmltv file. Check it. If this works, then try again, this time calling UpdateEPG.bat by clicking Update EPG from within the GUI under settings menu.

I'm pretty sure, that if your paths haven't changed, that this is going to work for you, as it does for a lot of people...

Also, I'm going to have to revisit explaining the Season and Episode Numbers and I'll have to fix something too. Yeah you should be able to put it wherever you like, but it seems like it's only working when you 'prepend to subtitle' (This is selected in the config episode screen not the main screen.

How do I do this? I couldn't find any place in CONFIG which had this type of entry.
