Any ideas?

Do you have 4x3 avis that you play on the 16:9 screen that are set to pillar box.

Do you have 2.35:1 AVIs that play as 16x9 (including top and bottom bars) on 4x3 TV?

I have just started having some trouble too, and it may be MEncoder...

I will be doing some more testing

OK Try this...
http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?p=306792

I've also added a little extra feature. Whenever the Stop button is pushed, or at the end of a transcode, all the relevant logs and batch files are copied into the app's path log folder. That way it's easy to gather and zip.

Could you please zip what you get from this next test?

These are typically avis. [DIVX files] (552x226,568x232, etc)

They all play in nice widescreen on the PC. Trying to get the black bars on top and bottom. The picture is stretched and not good for the eye.

thanks

I have the exact same issue as jerryheynow (AVI's zoomed in or stretched when viewing through MVP). I have tried Zprocess and Zprocess2 a couple of times and it has never worked and I've had to remove it. I'm sure a bunch of folks are in the same boat, so if you get it working it that will be a big help. I will be happy to test if jerryheynow tells me the latest rev works for him.

I was thinking about this and then I got a hunch.

have you set your MVP to 16x9 mode? Yes, some (if not all) of MVPs need to be set into 16x9 mode even if you are viewing on a 4x3 TV, so that the image dimensions can be manipulated correctly.

If you are using the default dongle that comes with GB-PVR, use these instructions...

http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Utili...cess1#toc6

If you are using the mvpmc dongle, you can set the aspect ratio from the main menu

Try that and see how it goes!

I'm glad you're one of 'us'. I install TV during the day, and it is so painful when the customers stretch out their 4x3 TV to fill their 16x9 TVs, because "I got a wide screen, I want to see wide screen!"

Anyway, ZProcess will work the opposite way too, where when using a 16x9, it will display a 4x3 programme in pillar box. (I also added a 'always stretch' feature for the types of people mentioned earlier)

I had a hunch on solving your problem, noted in a different message

Tried both settings on MVP, neither worked. Tried zprocess and zprocess2. I also used the setup instructions on the wiki you point to, that didn't work. Had to uninstall. Jerryhewnow, have you made any progress in trying to view your widescreen AVI's correctly (non-zoomed/non-stretched)?

btw, I haven't used your latest updates posted in this thread, but I was hoping for a green light from someone like Jerryheynow before I tried again.

Hey guys. Yes, running ZP 2.0.293

MVP is set to 16:9 through MVP Media, prior to GBPVR install.
BTW, the GBPVR interface is always 4:3 stretched out.

Still getting the You will need to set some values on the config.xml Popup upon start of the file.

Actually got a file to work today. Upon start, got the
'presented by Zprocess 2.0.293 Subtitle. Nice Touch...

Ok, the only file I got to work is 568x232
Divx 5 724kbs.

Just trying to provide data for debug.

Other files are restarting the server. In fact, even the one that was working isn't anymore.
Ill restart the PC and try again. That is needed quite a bit.

Actually, you should definitely be using the versions posted here, because they are being tweaked and modified specifically for you and others...
