I agree there seems to be a problem with the date. This was brought up before but I thought it had been corrected. I think Zehd did some work on it but it looks like it's off by a day.

Here is an entry from my enhanced XML file:
Code:
<programme start="[color=Red][B]20090410010000[/B][/color] +0000" stop="20090410020000 +0000" channel="212.CFTO.129">
    <title lang="en">CSI: Crime Scene Investigation *</title>
    <sub-title lang="en">S09E19-The Descent of Man</sub-title>
    <desc lang="en">([color=Green][B]d.Wed, Apr 8, 2009[/B][/color]) Catherine finds a connection between Nick's case of a deceased skydiver and a mysterious double murder.
Status: Continuing

   ¤  Actors: Laurence Fishburne, Marg Helgenberger, George Eads
   ¤  Guests: Archie Kao, Jon Wellner
   ¤  Director: Chris Leitch
</desc>
    <date>[color=red][B]20090409[/B][/color]</date>
    <category lang="en">Action/Adventure</category>
    <category lang="en">Drama</category>
    <category lang="en">Stereo</category>
    <category lang="en">TV-14</category>
    <episode-num system="dd_progid">EP00380341.0212</episode-num>
    <audio>
      <stereo>stereo</stereo>
    </audio>
    <premiere>New</premiere>
  </programme>
The red dates seems to be correct but the Date tag added to the Description tag (in green) seems to be the wrong day.

How would a new user get to the Cache tab?

I noticed this with The Biggest Loser (don't judge me, please), it has a genre of Game Show, so it got skipped by Ultra during enhancing. I suspect some other Reality type shows may be in the same boat depending on you're listing info... I just removed Game Show from the Category Exclude: list on the Cache Tab to resolve the problem (This did not seem to significantly change the processing time).

And for those of you that aren't Beta testing (in other words, the Cache tab is not visible/available) You can just edit the CategoriresExclude.ini in notepad...

I have a list and order of how things should be run at the bottom of the Manual tab...

Therefore:
  1. Get new fresh xmltv file (Grab or restore)
  2. Enhnace with commit
  3. Update EPG
  4. XMLTV Extras
  5. View GB-PVR

This probably won't make a difference, but looking at your date tag, you haven't reset the Tag and Title files and reinitalized Zehd's picks. I'm pretty sure the latest default doens't have 'd.' or 'p.' any more

I'll look again. Sorry I'm going to need some time.

@pbs too, I have your sample files, and you've been good at showing the problems. I'll have that fixed as soon as I can get some time...

Ok, so now I know what order to run the steps in (yes I saw these before), but I'm still not sure what this step does. I'm trying to look at the differences between TV Guide (default) and TV Listings to determine which I want to use. Currently I can look at both guides and see similar data in each, but I haven't clicked on the TV Listings/XmltvExtra button.

What is it going to do in addition to what Ultra has already done? How will I know it has done what it is suppose to do if I don't know what it is suppose to do?

Am I missing something that is obvious to others?

XMLTV Extras processes the GBPVR data base rather than the XML file which ULtra processes. That is why XMLTV Extras must be run after the EPG has been updated.

Below is a screen cap from TV Listings showing the "NEW" graphic that identifies the listing as a first run show. This is in addition to the asterisk. TV Listings will show this graphic but TV Guide will not.

Apparently there are other graphic idntifiers for thiungs like HDTV and 16:9 aspect ratio but I haven't seen those show up in my listings.

Here is a link to XMLTV Extras in the wiki. There isn't much of a description.

Appaarrently some of the logos for dolby and HDTV are treamarked or copywrited, so they aren't readily available.

I have got all the dolby, and HDTV logos working with TV Listings/xmltvextras. The instrcutions are fairly good, just a bit of legwork. It would have been better to have a logo pack, because then they'd show up easier...

Oh, and you need listing that have HDTV. 16:9, Dolby Stereo etc, for them to show up. I'm pretty sure LewE Can and some of TomR's Sta channels will have them. It's cool when they do show up all right. Whne i have even more time on my hands, I'l help that out, though it's not really a detour I wanted to take... :eek:
