If the OP was to give each NPVR machine its own recording directory on the main machine, and then have each NPVR machine regularly run a batch file to export its recordings to xml, and import the recordings from the other machine(s), then he'd end up with all his recordings available in the recordings list of each machine.

In fact, he could use postprocessing.bat to export recordings to xml as soon as each recording is finished, and launch NPVR with a batch file that does the import immediately before starting NPVR.

Obviously this wouldn't help with scheduling of recordings, that would probably have to be managed manually.

Maybe something for the future - a pseudo device on the central server that can push requests out to other machines that would write the recording to the central servers drive.

Another option would be to try to use dvblink. That way the tuners on the client PC's could all be controlled directly by the main machine, and the clients could just run in normal client mode.
