3.1.1. upgrade issue: "the tuner you were using was required..." error message

Oh, and the 1024x768 resolution is only because I am using the client with an older display and it's native resolution is 1024x768.

Any other suggestions? I'm at wit's end here.

This worked when the client was 2.6.2 and the server was 3.1.1 so it appears the issue may lie in 3.1.1's handling of client streams. The only reason I upgraded was 2.6.2 would sometimes 'hang' after 6 -10 minutes.
