Kodi Helix OpenELEC Problem - "Tuner Not Available"

Thanks for spelling it out however, there is no directory AppData, Roaming or Kodi. So that suggest when I went into Kodi and turned on debugging I did this System>Settings>Selected Enable Debug Logging

What am I missing?

You have to go to folder options and enable view hidden files and directories. I guess you are fairly new to Windows 8.1?

Ok looking at http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=418712 I'd say you either don't have the recording service running or it some sort of fireall problem. If this a client not on the backend you need to use the remote ip;

I have been able to record a number of TV shows. Where specifically would the service be turned? In NPVR or Kodi or both? Everything is residing on one machine. For giggles, I will look at the other computers in the house to make sure the is no IP conflict. I will eat dinner first. My firewall is turned off.

I reloaded the logs 418787,418788. Kodi crashed. I checked it is enabled in system setting live tv and I have it enabled to do time shifting in the nextpvr client. I am now getting a warning that the connection has been lost. I do not have the option to watch tv anymore.

You expect you know what they say about insanity. It is not connecting, and we can't help it connect until you change something.

I went and looked at windows firewall again and did not have the public turned off. I went back in and am able to view TV, Record, Time shift. I did previously add a rule (wf.msc) both inbound/outbound for all of the files above but maybe I did something wrong. I may get a real IT guy look at my firewall another day(instead of me). I uploaded another file to have you look at when you have time. I am going to stop for the day and see how it holds up. I appreciate everyone's help. If this works then I only need to get the Schedules Direct guide to show more than one time of the day - current and the harmony 900 remote!!!

Make sure to open port 8866 To both inbound and outbound.

PS Make sure to open it on the Server and the Clients.

Hi all. I had windows firewall off but enabled time shifting. When I tried time shifting I got the same message of losing the connection. Unfortunately, I had turned off data logging. After the crash, I added the opening of the ports both inbound and out bound for TCP and UDP. I will reboot everything and turn on data logging and give it another go. Thanks

On a side note, can you have Kodi both output audio to HDMI and toslink at the same time? I am experiencing one or the other. This is a real pain as TV's in the rest of the house will use HDMI for audio and my preamp/processor wants optical output.

If you get the UI and EPG but can't timeshift that's different then the firewall.
