Howdy, back, from Longview!

So, the wiki (http://www.nextpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?...BatchFiles) references examples.

None are posted there, and the forum link takes me to Devnz.com (in title) / http://forums.gbpvr.com/ (in url). No examples, though.

On the NextPVR interface, I was playing around with it. Exit or Return on my Harmony 300 seems to work. I was probably using a different media center remote before, so I don't know what button I was pressing then.

Audio is now working.

So, how do I get NextPVR to go Full Screen (i.e. no Windows borders)?

Yeah, under "Examples" it says "Awaiting user submitted examples...". Apparently nobody has submitted any of their favorite batch files as yet. But, as it says, if you scour the forums you will indeed see where various people have posted helpful batch files for a variety of reasons.

Don't know about remote stuff, I use a keyboard and do Alt-Enter for fullscreen/not fullscreen. Which means I have to be there if the little woman is using it. Giving her a remote is like giving a monkey a machine gun.

The only reason that you currently have for creating a batch file is to test whether you can create recording files on a NAS ... JavaWiz (and I) have suggested the content of batch files that will test whether you have permissions set appropriately.

Got it. I wasn't sure if creating a batch file would cause some other default functionality to stop working. Just checking before I messed it up.

ALT+ENTER toggles Full Screen mode. Got it! Kodi, for whatever reason, uses the "\" key, so I kept trying to use that. Windows Media Center would expand to full screen just by clicking the Maximize button on the window.

Good to know there is a setting to handle this, too. Wink

So, without changing the skin, can the background be changed? No offense to the designer of the default wallpaper, it just feels like the default.

The background is the file background.jpg in the folder C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Skin\Default ... I suggest that you keep a copy of the existing before you replace it.

It appears that Settings --> General --> Active Skin will select an alternate background from the folder C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Skin\Default\_Backgrounds

Appears I don't have rights on the wiki anymore, however I have created a zip file with templates for each of the batch files. If anyone has access, feel free to upload it to Wiki... They don't do much except log when they are called and in some cases call IGL to rename or update the EPG. It may be useful to new users who are trying to understand how the hooks work....
