Looks like it's time to play wack a mole. I suggest you get in contact with the developer and see if the problem can be fixed.

Or give XML TV Listings a look: https://www.xmltvlistings.com/. The new kid on the block.
They offer monthly, quarterly and yearly subscriptions. Also a 14-day free trial.

BUT, now there is no video and audio for live TV. I've tried all kinds of different decoders, but nothing seems to work. I get one thing working, then something else goes wrong. Its like owning an old Harley Davidson having to work on it all the time. I'm taking a break from trouble shooting and just use the sucky HDHOMERUN DVR app.

What MPEG2 and AC3 decoders do you have selected, and what options do you have available? You can also get this behaviour when the Windows Firewall is blocking data from the HDHR from getting to NextPVR, so maybe try temporarily turning it off to determine if that is your problem.

Also in step #7 you have "you should not see a file labeled epg.xml. If not, go back to step #5". Shouldn't it be "you should see a file labeled epg.xml. If not, go back to step #5"

If you haven't broken it at least once, you're not doing it right.

Booya, the Windows 10 Firewall was it. However, when I go to the list of apps to allow communication through the firewall, I can't find NPVR. I see a bunch of HDHR items that are checked off. What other app/item do I check off? Or, what app do I add to the list to check off to allow? Thanks

It is NRECORD.exe under the Programs NPVR folder. Thanks for your help.
I sent a message to the developer, and a new version of the program has been uploaded to the zap2xml site which is supposed to skip problem episodes. I have it running right now, and am hopeful that it works for everybody.
EDIT: Works well now - it's run 2 times, and no issues. |
