send channel chanes via winLIRC??

Ok I hooked up an IR receiver to my PC and using the attached powershell script it does work as expected.   My last one from the autoit example was bad.  zip and upload the config file you are using and I can test it if you can't figure it out.

I am assuming when you run winlirc you can hit the "Send" button and it sends the numbers ok.

Sorry, stupid question, when you say the attached powershell script, do you mean the "drake.ps1" file you kindly posted a couple of days ago?

oh, and yes, in winLIRC, i can blast the numbers by selecting a digit from the dropdown and clicking the "send code" button and therefore i can  "manually" change the stb channel with the mouse.

just d/l'ed that version now. W where your drake.ps1 has a line that says says:
"SEND_ONCE mceusb_hauppauge KEY_"
i should change mine to read:
"SEND_ONCE Starsat KEY_" ? (based on my WinLIRC config file being called Starsat.cf. I'm presuming that "mceusb_hauppauge" is the name of your remote config file in WinLIRC?).
assuming that's correct, can i change that line in Notepad+ and save it without messing up the formatting of the .ps file?

If Starsat is what you see in the one WinLIRC drop down and KEY_1 etc is what you see in the other yes.

Notepad+ or any editor should be fine.

The other optional choice is the 1000 ms wait, that may be too much or too little.

Ok, so. next dumb question, back in NextPVR's channel config, i presume i should use the argument you already posted:
"powershell -File FullPath\Drake.ps1 {channel_d1} {channel_d2} {channel_d3} {channel_d4}"

(without the quotation marks, and with "FullPath" being filled in as C:\WinLIRC which is where my winLIRC and drake.ps files live),  but, ...here comes the next dumb question,  in the line above that, what should the channel changer executable be? (I dont know wether to put C:\winLIRC\winlirc.exe  OR  C:\winLIRC\transmit.exe)

I don't remember how v4 or v5 works but the executable

"powershell -File FullPath\Drake.ps1"

plus any option that you added to test it.

and the args are

{channel_d1} {channel_d2} {channel_d3} {channel_d4}

Before configure NextPVR make sure it runs on the comman line

Ahh. for the "channel changer executable" NextPVR seems to onyl allow me to select an ".exe" file (I'm using NextPVR4 tho, is ths different in v5?)
There's a second line below that for arguments, (which on my previous stb setup using IR Server Sute, was where i had put "-channel {channel} -delay 500 -host localhost" as the argument) but the initial changer executable selection doesn't allow me to select a file that isn't a .exe file.
TBH i also can't get a single blast to happen from command line, which is really frustrating considering that i can blast directly from winLIRC, and can also cause winLIRC to blast from Eventghost "send events".
I wish i hadn't bought this stb now

If you can't blast from the command line I asked to see post your zipped config file.

You can always use powershell.exe as the executable and move all the arguments down

-File FullPath\Drake.ps1 {channel_d1} {channel_d2} {channel_d3} {channel_d4}
