freesat wont plat through NextPVR client

Try creating a c:\temp directory, and setting the following in the registry, then watch BBC Two again, then post the two log files that get created in a c:\temp

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\NPVR\ LogReaderAutoMap=1 (DWORD)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\NPVR\ LogDemux=1 (DWORD)

There seems to be something wrong with the times stamps in that file  The start time is typically only a second or two.

Duration: 00:00:43.50, start: 55663.623800, bitrate: 5505 kb/s

Kodi certainly doesn't like it.

Are you using a signal booster? There are lots of errors in the stream itself.

no. this is just a 4 way LNB. each feeds a seperate receiver and all work well

the oddity here is that using this as a backend and accessing the server through libre elec works fine

the attached pic is a laptop access the nextpvr backend.

Player h/w no, it's a very bad source (at least going on one sample) so what you think is good is not really good quality. I can play that sample file in Kodi libraries here but that doesn't mean it is ok.
