Thanks for the feedback, There is not much I control how the Samsung streams http but I do need to check that I pass a flag to NextPVR to not send the length. I am on vacation so won't be able to do this for a bit.

Hey Martin,

Thanks for checking when you get a chance.
Enjoy the break, hope you get some good downtime.

OK I had a chance to try this and I wasn't setting the flag to tell Tizen that it was an in-progress file. Once I do, the file plays fine but unfortunately it can't be skipped or resumed while recording, pause only. I am not sure what the lesser of two evils would be.

Also sub keeps making improvements to UI client backend so the experience will be a little with each release.  You might also like thumbnails on recording if you have the limited remote, they do work pretty well with the Tizen.

Thanks for looking into it Martin.  That is a tricky one.  Personally, if I’m watching something that’s currently recording, I’m normally going to give it 15 mins and then use that to skip ads or trailers, but then once I’m out of buffer I.e used the 15 mins up then I run into that issue about hitting the end of the stream and having to stop, search and start playing again, then rinse and repeat Smile
The workaround for me currently is to wait until at least 1/2 way through a show, and only then start to play something that is recording.  This way I only have to do the stop/start once.

On balance I think the ability to skip forward is the most important thing, so it’s fine as it is.  Funny enough the same thing happens on the Apple TV implementation, so not losing anything here.

All the best

I think I have been able to figure out how to integrate NextPVR's chunked skipping API for growing files and made a few changes. I have updated the OneDrive link that (for me) works for resuming and skipping growing files. Let me know, and if there are issues post the zipped logs.

It should be the same icon, it just look better when it has focus. I copied sub's Apple TV icon which is not crisp. The icon really should be redrawn to make it look better and reduce some alpha background I am just too lazy and not that skilled.

Thanks for the update Martin, seems to be fixed! No problems so far.  Thanks for all the hard work.
