Quote:all the images you sent me are rotated the right way around for me, the thumbnails are the right way around, the preview is the right way around, the fullscreen is the right way around, the only problem is rotating with the red/green button. try it on the photos you sent me, and if they work send me the ones that dont (you only sent me photos with 2 orientations (well 3) and exif has like 8 different orientations).

yes you're right tried the ones myself and they are working fine and also found some of my pics to be working fine. But most of them does not rotate.
But i found out an interesting point while i was testing my images with ACDSee and Exifer for compairision. ACDSee will behave absolutly like your plugin and will automatically rotate the same images and for Exifer it is the other way round, it will only rotate the images automatically that the plugin won't rotate. But i don't know the differnce between the images, they are all from the same cam and have the same complete EXIF data. The only difference is the way they were downloaded from the camera. I've mailed two of the until now not rotated images (one for each possible rotation) to you, so maybe you find a way to make these ones rotate too.

I've just ran into another problem, while testing arond with my digicam. In the virtual root system you inserted a point for memory cards, but if i use this one with my cardreader i cannot enter the memcard. Only if i set the virtual root type to something else (tried with HDD) its working without any problem. Am i doing something wrong there?

I tested it out last night, seemed real nice. I scaled the pan up, and I set the width to 110%, and it looked good by my eyeball... I liked the zoom, even on rotated images. I tried the skip when zoomed, no problems with everything! I did get a funky error in GBPVR when I went back to the main menu, I didn't bother writing it down. If it happens again, I will try and remember the keystrokes before, and the actual message.

can you email me the pictures, ill pm my email address to you.

Reven, I'm no longer able to reproduce the errors I was getting. I'm not sure what I changed, (maybe just a reboot). If I can reproduce the problem I'll send you the pic's that seem affected.

I'll let you know.

Reven,

First of all I'm loving the way the new plugin is moving. As you see from my post above the only issue I discovered went away on its own.

Now comments and questions about the web image feature. Again I love it. for my purpose's it will work very well.

Questions:
Will you be able to advance to the next image with the arrow keys? I cannot do this right now.

Will you be adding a "virtual root" icon for web images? Not required but nice.

Will the Slideshow or Random functions work for web images?

<EDIT>

How about Animated GIF support?

Thanks

im not sure if this would be a good idea, they way i do it now i use the same method to move to the next image as i use in slideshows, which would also then allow webcam images in slideshows (which i really dont want to do) but ill think about it. i might add a button to force a refresh aswell.

there is already a different graphic for urls, if you look in the skin.xml in the "my series" folder you'll see it. but as soon as view the webimage for the first time it creates a thumbnail for that webimage (which i like), i left the extensions on the files this time so you can tell which are which when not in list view.

no, they can take far to long to download, so theres not much point.

im not sure if this is possible in gbpvr (it might be) but the way sub does things, im not sure.

I only tested it on about 100 pictures. I did have to turn off the transitions. WAY to SSSLLLOOOWWW on the MVP. I tested it on pics up to 5 mp. 2576x1932. I will give it a better test. I want to make a picture of a perfect square and circle to test the aspect ratio. what is the difference between:
Random
Slideshow
RSlideshow

I am overall very pleased! Thanks. I will continue testing. Anything specific?

As for the aspect ratio, I checked my MVP settings, they are 624x440. And 624/4 = 156 and 440/3 = 147. So my MVP screen is off by 156/147 or %6.5 I'll try that on the width factor, and check how it looks. I'll also measure my TV to see how close to 4x3 it is.

The web cam plugin supports animated gifs, even on the MVP! I asked for that because I liked to an animated gif of a local weather radar loop. It works fine.
