If you click on the beta hotspot again after getting the "you need to close and reopen..." message it crashes out Ultra.

Mostly cosmetic.

This time, all tabs are shown by default. And you will have your tooltips...

The hidden square is about a cm square bottom right of the TS tab. Single click will hide the beta tabs, and also kill the tooltips -- which I'm working on...

Not to be contrarian, shouldn't the default way it comes up be to hide the extra tabs and only show them if the user clicks the hidden square?

I've been messing around with Ultra_Post and can't get it to do any renaming.
Checking the _App_post.log it appears that it should have renamed, but it doesn't change the file at all (see below). Also, a couple functionality ideas. It would be nice if you could specify the comskip.ini file to use, and it would be extra nice if you could specify the comskip.ini on a per channel basis. I can work around this in my postprocessing.bat though. Also some additional renaming options would be nice (Change the order of naming elements, etc...)

That's why the Channel text box is there. I do plan on mimicking the sample PostProcessing.bat that comes with ComSkip. But I won't be adding that until next phase. For now I'm just trying to give the rename feature...

The program was very specifically designed to skip over TS files because I don't have any, (I mean recorded regularly) and wasn't sure what it would do. However, now that I think of it, it shouldn't make a difference. I'll spend some time on it later and get another build off to you

It wasn't working for .mpg files either. A test recording just failed though, so I think there might have been something fishy going on with my database. It is working again, I'll let you know if the call from post-processing renames successfully.

Try the very latest, I just uploaded.

One way to test, that mimicks the PostProcessing.bat, is to right clikc on the MPG/TS file and select Open with, then choose Ultra_post (you'll have to browse)

Then when you right click an MPG/TS file, it will immediately start processing (assuming it first in queue) just as if PostProcessing.bat had called it.

BTW, in case you are using VideoRedo for retiming, there is absoultely no retiming for TS files. I triple checked that.

I won't promise when, but I thought of an easy way to select specific comskip.ini files per channel...

No tooltips at all for me with the latest version (2.0.3373.19257). Beta toggled on or not. Doesn't make a difference.

And I may not be seeing the point, but how is the beta toggle any easier than modifying the registry if you need to restart Ultra? Double clicking a REG file is just about as easy.

Should there be any entries in the log file for when uploading the _SeriesIDs.txt file? Currently there are entries in the log file indicating that something is going on with the file but I don't see anything is the log file at the end of the processing. With the previous comment about whether to have this file uploaded automatically or not, I think it might be an idea to add some log entries for it so that it is obvious and not hidden.

If tere are no new SeriesIDs then nothing is uploaded
