whurlston Wrote:This is not a duplicate issue. I've never seen these errors before. It's not something being thrown by my code as I don't directly call any of the functions in the error. It must be something in the MCE dlls that are being accessed although I cannot imagine why it is happening.

Are you running it under a non administrative account by any chance?

Thanks for the response. The account is an administrator account. I think I'll try skipping this step as Media Center is already downloading the schedule.

If you only need one lineup, the downloader can be skipped. On the next build, I will add more extensive logging to see if we can narrow down the issue.

This is minor, but I'm in the middle of switching from Oz's Yahoo API version to MceEpg (due to the disappearance of the Yahoo data) and I've got a question:

I'm processing the XML data with XMLTV sort and other functions. the processing is complaining about the order of the tags in the XML file. It's unhappy that <category> is at the end near </programme> and is sending a warning. By comparing to the output of OZ's XML file (which was working fine) I see that the MceEpg ouput has <category> after <rating> while Oz has it first. The warn comes from XMLTV.pm and seems to relate to an expected order in XMLTV's dtd. At this point, I don't know if it's important or not, and I can probably deal with it if necessary, but I hate to change things too much (I may go back to Yahoo data if they fix it) and I'm wondering if you intentionally have a different order of tags from the XMLTV dtd and OZ, or if I'm missing something. Thanks

Normally a program would not care as to the order of the tags. There is no indication in the XMLTv spec that a particular order was necessary.

It would be interesting to know what happens when that program hits a tag that I provide that is not part of the XMLTv spec such as <joined-in-progress />

Not sure what's going on, but I just came home to this:

The output XML is fine (18+MB), I ran the MceEpg2XmlTv.exe and updated the guide in GB-PVR, but nothing changes. Funny, but it was perfect last night.

Any thoughts?

Giving the 'ol reboot windows solution a try...

I bet you didn't clear your channels first. If you scroll through all your channels, they may start repeating with listings on the second set.

this was just working!!! And what a pain in the butt to remap the digital channels.

I did delete them first, but I guess that was when I was using Yapi2XML.

Good call. Thanks.

I am to understand that even though I have vista home premium I cannot get epg data unless I have a tuner card installed?

I have a laptop, so I'm kind of screwed otherwise.

You need a tuner card for the initial setup. You can remove it after that and continue to get the EPG. USB tuners work.
