2.0.24.23025 -going to test next.

So far 2.0.24.23035 has the best results for me on for my recordings while watcing them on my MVP's and does not show any time stamp issues.

After reboot I go into device manager to verify that I am using the correct driver.

This isn't working for me. I cleaned out with HCWCLEAR and rebooted. Then, when Windows' Found New Hardware Wizard prompts me, I point to the driver folder where I unzipped the pvr_2.0.24.23025.zip file and the Wizard says it can't find the necessary files. What am I doing woring? I'm running XP Pro.

Just to get working again, I used the new drivers from this post by Sub. These have an "installer" and installed fine. I still have the timimg bug with these, however.

So, what am I doing wrong with the installation of the 2.0.24.23025 drivers?

Thanks.

When the wizard come up I pick "install from a specific location (Advanced), and then pick "Don't Search. I will choose the driver to install." then Pick "Have Disk" and point it to the locataion of the install files.

I am running them now, will post here if I get any timing issues. Over saturated audio problem has not been fixed but it is better.

Can anyone confirm if the sound input level can be adjusted with the tweak utility and 23025 or 23035? I am considering dropping back to these drivers if the sound can be adjusted.

I can confirm now that I have experienced the same on one recording. Looking to switch soon.

Thanks guy. I appreciate your testing that version of the drivers. I just haven't had anytime in the evenings to test it myself. Plus, the wife doesn't like it when I make her switch back to the TV, so I can play with the PVR.

She's gotten so she can't live without the on screen guide. The upside, is she asked me if I wanted to buy a home theater sound system to replace my old stereo amplifier. Guess the WAF is higher than I realized.

Regards,
Daris

I cleared out the last driver and installed 2.0.24.23035. So far I am thrilled that I can use the tweaker utility to set the volume and add a little brightness to the recordings. I have my equalizer on defeat mode and turned off (pass through) and am able to set the volume with the tweaker so that the audio does not clip. I will test this driver out for a while and see how it goes but so far I think this step backwards is a step forward. I do not know where Hauppauge thinks they are going with the drivers into the future because I think they were more on the ball with these drivers.

Tried 23035 and got NO vid or sound on Live TV!! Why am I surprised.

Shouldn't the skip/timebase problem be the same on computer and MVP? My replays with heaps of skips go fine on the computer. Can't fault it and comskip ad jumps work fine, too. But if I try skips from the MVP replay of the same file, it gets stuffed in a big way. Refuses to skip and no more ad jumps. Even restarted the MVP. (WAF took a BIG dive. She was 3/4 through a 2hr show and everything was great, incl perfect ad jumps. But I distracted her and she missed a crucial event so I pushed the rewind button didn't I. All over rover! Restarted but had a hell of a job getting it near the 3/4 mark and the ad skipping was history!).

Just an update.
I tried driver revisions 2.0.24.23035 and 2.0.24.23025 with my PVR-150MCE. I got some recordings without sound. I have been using 2.0.30.23083 for over a week and it is running flawlessly. I saw in a previous thread that Sub uses this on his PVR-150. I now see why.
