works great, thanks ... the output is now correct and in UTF-8 encoding.

Great, I'll include that in the next release. Thanks for your time in posting.

I have it set up along with the GB batch files, to write the output to a text file, that I can read from LCD Smartie to display current and furture recordings on my LCD sceen.

Check out my screens here.

Thanks Slimm!!

Hello, i followed the set up guide at the lcd smartie fourms to get lcd smartie to display inprogress and pending recordings. i cut and pasted the sample batch files.

What is not happing is the inprogress.txt file is not clearing after a recording is done. the display shows it still recording after. i suspect the Datecheck.bat file is not running correctly. could you please help me?

I noticed that the Paralleprocessing.bat file was outputing 'status' to the inprogress.txt file as well. this added an additional line which made the code in lcd smartie off by one line. is this right? or iam i missing something with that..

Setup a PostProcessing.bat file to perform activities when a recording finishes.

Note: this version is not compatible with GBPVR v0.96.12 or earlier. There is a legacy link in the first post on this topic.

Version 1.4.2408.36462 beta (direct download link)

As always, this is a beta, comments, suggestions and bugs report are welcomed.

Features:
  • Console now outputs in UTF-8 format so supporting non-Roman characters.

Full history and change list is available in the documentation.

I have trouble on and off with one of my recorders. I have a PVR150 and a PVR500 (dual tuner). Sometimes the signal quality one of these tuners stops, and I suspect its one tuner on the PVR500, but it's difficult to know which one is doing what. Plus it's an intermittent drop, so just removing a recoding setup isn't that helpful.

If there was a token that could write the name of the hardware device that is doing the recording, I would be able to do a query on the currently recording shows to output the name of the devices and the names of the shows they are recording right now. This would be helpful as a troubleshooting option.

Good idea. I've added it to the wish list. If it's of any help, this information is available from the SlimmGBPVR tray icon under the Tools->Tuner Status menu item or by double-clicking the GBPVRTray.exe icon.

hhm, would it be hard to add a guide lookup as well?
something like gbpvrcli.exe /guide date-time channel /msgbox etc. etc.
to return what's playing at a specific time?
would be nice way to get current show details..Smile
[or a nice 'what's on' without cranking up gbpvr]

This is a whole new chunk of code but is something I am looking to implement at some time.

If possible, could you add a {DescriptionWithoutLineFeeds} token (or a better name maybe!)

This would simply be the same as the {Description} token but with line feeds / carriage returns replaced with a single space. Or even better might be to have {DescriptionWithoutLineFeeds:<br>} where the characters after the : are used instead of line feeds / carriage returns.

I'm piping the output from gbpvrcli to another commandline program that accepts input on stdin, and the line feeds that occur in the description field are messing up my input

Thanks,

Martyn
