I have another problem now. I think a Windows Media player 10 update changed my mux from Cyberlink to the dvr-ms. When I noticed this after finding a recorded show in that format I checked it out and the quatlity was great so I kept using it for about 5 recordings. Now I can't edit and transfer to DVD. I foud Graph edit to work pefect for conversion to mpg for all except 2 shows but I use Nero 7 to edit out commercials and then author to DVD. (Actualy just burn to hard drive folder). I get errors every time and it won't finish the burn. I have 2 Alias shows. Both in dvr-ms that will not convert past about 35 megs. I have tried every free converter I could find and they all produce the same resulting file size. Even Graph edit. However Graph edit workson all my other shows. I can not figure out how to change back from dvr-ms to Cyberlink. In GBPVR configuration it shows Cyberlink is selected. I have tried to find dvr-ms in DFSmgr to reset the priority but it must named differently.
I would like to go back to just recording with mpeg. Any ideas?

Here's a copy of what Mux Checker shows is installed.

Try running:

regsvr32 /u "F:\Temp Video\TV Recordings\TV Shows Convert\MpgMux.ax"

I tried this when I got home from work last night and got the message that it was successful but I tested and am still recording in dvrms. Any other suggestions?

I remembered there was a bug that would cause it to always record using DVR-MS if you're using an ATSC card. DVB cards are not affected.

There was a patch posted somewhere here a couple of months back. Otherwise you can wait for the next release due in a couple of days.

I should point out though, most ATSC users have only found acceptable performance with DVR-MS, so dont get your hopes up too high.
