If you add C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\Plugins\InternationalCinemaListings\Trailers\ as a 'place' in GB-PVRs video libary can you play the trailers from there?

Hmm, sounds like a quicktime codec problem. Don't know what to suggest - maybe try a forum search or post a question on the general support forum.

Its not a file its a definition of a the film info screen which is missing.

Not wanting to blow my own trumpet but I also recommend switching to the Community skin, it has a BlueMCE2 theme that you may find familiar and is updated regularly.

OK, I've installed the community skin and it works fine - except that in Int'l Cinema it won't now show the film descriptions - nothing happens when I select the title - and if I select the 'By Film' button, I get the 'Unreferenced object' error. Last refresh was 29/3/07.

In the film.xml the film titles attribute is empty - easycinema must have changed their site again. Will look into it.

For now if you want the film info to come up you can just add the film titles in yourself using notepad or similar. Use the film titles as listed in showings.xml

I've just setup my cinema IDs to match yours and ran a refresh - listings came down OK.

Can you try a manual refresh (select refresh in the plugin or run gbpvr\Plugins\InternationalCinemaListingsUpdater.exe) your end and see if the film titles are in films.xml?

Suspect something funny went on at easycinema.com before...

OK, I've been away for an easter break and seen a few threads on the International Cinema Listings plug-in. Took a bit of reading to catch up but as far as I can see there were 2 or 3 main points.


Film posters and plug-in mixups

I think posters is on McBainUK's to do list. I think it's supposed to be working already. Here is the excerpt from v2.2....

That is v2.2 of the old UK Cinema listings plugin, that has been replaced by the International Cinema Listings plugin. The poster download feature didn't survive the move although I hope to add it back in again soon.


Errors with downloading trailers

I'm getting an error with one trailer from a movie ("Are We Done Yet?") with a special character in the title. It looks like you need to strip out special characters when building the filename.

Will fix this before the next release.


Trailers on the MVP

Now you just need McBainUK to agree to use the mpg files first if it exists and if not use the mov files and you should be good to go on the mvp.

I don't have an MVP setup and (a little nievely) assumed GB-PVR would deal with the transcoding. If the batch file conversions works ok I would be more than happy to add the ability for the plugin to check for the presence of both MOV and MPEG trailer files in the gbpvr\Plugins\InternationalCinemaListings\Trailers folder.
Can someone involved (http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=12363&page=4) confirm that this is what's required as it was a long thread :confused: :eek:

The summary for what I know is that I created a couple batch files that someone could run external to your plugin and it would convert the files from MOV to MPG which the MVP would stream without transcoding. The batch files examined each *.MOV file and did the following:

Not converted files that already had a MOV and a MPG in the dir
Converting if MOV and no MPG
Deleting if MPG and no MOV

My take was this could be done once per week when the trailers were downloaded.
That said maybe there is some automatic way that files could be converted to MPG before streaming eliminating the batch approach. Is this a question that sub could help out with?
