ZSchedFix Beta Support and Suggestions

OK Frank, from your list:-

stop = yes. pause box appears, click OK
your main windows now appears ok with top couple of lines of boxes/headings. and load yes/no choice.

Select NO - choice box goes, nothing else happens to form other than cursor moving to 'oid' box.

Click on fill values - the rest of the form appears with empty boxes and sadly the windows error message again. 5 seconds later the form turns white, obliterating the old contents.

If I select yes at the 'load values now' it fails again with the windows error box, but nothing happens to the form except in this case it doesn't go all white, but says "not responding"

If I set the reg entry to No - then it is as before (like post 33 above).

I'll have to wait until tomorrow now Frank, system is getting hammered with three concurrent recordings and a playback.

'vacuum'd' database is 6mb. What I'll try to do is to do an 'empty EPG' and make sure the problem still exists and the database will still have recordings, recurring and pending. This should shrink it down a bit and I'll zip it up with config.xml and see if my freebie ISP webspace has room (it should),

CHANGED.. vacuum database, zip it up and it's only a meg and a bit.

Well thanks for the patience Martin, but I've come to the end of mine.

Who would have though that there'd be so much trouble. Basically, every computer I try it on the program works. Your database opens immediately. It's not in the config.xml.

I'm pretty sure it's because something on yours and oz's computers isn't liking me using multiple forms..

I could be coding incorrectly, but how can I know when it works for me...If I could recreate the problem...

So what I'm saying is, I know that I can make it work by putting it all on one form. And that means starting from almost scratch.

I'm sorry that it hasn't been working for you. It should have.

Oz is writing something too, and I'm gonna give him my code. He might either be able to steal or fix the code....

I have re-done a few things differently....

1.0.23 uses a different form scheme. I'm hoping that this might work for you...

I can't help but think it's something else. Can you do a favour...?

open Start Run, MSCONFIG, 'start up' tab (jot down what you got) and then disable all startup programs. Restart the computer...

Tell me if that's any better...
