Version 99.12 is included with every new version of GBPVR. If you download the latest version (which is Schedules Direct compatible) and use GBPVR.exe instead of PVRX2.exe, you should be fine.

The first version to include the SchedulesDirect plugin is v1.0.16. If you really dont want to upgrade, then you might be able to switch your capture sources to using xmltv, and run the SchedulesDirect xmltv client to retrieve your listings. Using v1.0.16 gives you the same easy setup for Schedules Direct that you got with zap2it in the past releases.

Thanks HTPCGB. My main concern is running into hardware limits with the new version. The PC I have dedicated to our TV is 2002 vintage, and I'm not entirely clear what I'll need to handle PVRX2, so I'll just stick with GBPVR.exe for the time being. Does the installer prompt for GBPVR.exe vs. PVRX2,exe? Or do I just install the new version over my existing version, and then manually overwrite the PVRX2.exe file with the new GBPVR.exe file? Thanks.

Is that enough? I meet the list of hardware requirements on the homepage, but do those still stand with the newest version? Or would adding another 512MB stick of RAM get me there? Thanks.

To be honest, I'm not sure. You'll probably just have to try it and see. The old GBPVR.exe interface is still included with the new release in case you find you need to run that, so chances are you'll be fine if you find your machine isnt able to run the new PVRX2 interface.

Backup you database and config file before you try, then you'll easily be able to go back if you need to.

I'm disappointed with the initial price - $5/month. I fear that signing up will validate this price point. Plus all the people saying it's reasonable.

However, I do want to support the project, so I'll likely sign up for the initial deal and then cancel after the 3 months is up if the price doesn't come down.
