And I suspect like a lot of others I have an increasing amount of HDD space devoted to Scooby-Doo, Diego, Dora, Thomas the Tank Engine...

Occasionally, I record something for myself Smile

Oh, I hear you. I've got a 5 year old boy and a 2 year old girl. Now that we've got almost every episode of Thomas recorded, he's bored, and we're now into the other train shows like Tracks Ahead, which is a nice break from Thomas.

Oh and of course Diego, BackYardigans, and some french kids shows to keep the kids bilingual. (I'm from Canada, where bilingual means French, not Spanish!)

XBMC & 2 Hauppauge Media MVPs connecting to the server.. and a couple Terrabytes of kids shows.

eh?

Just watched power of 10... where they do a bunch of polls and the contestants try to guess the % that answered a certain way. 71% of Americans think that immigrants should be required to speak fluent English. and 82% of Americans think that the US is the best country in the world. 7% think Pro Wrestling is real :p

In Australia we have a comedy/current affairs show called "The Chaser's War On Everything" which had a weekly segment where they would ask people in the streets of NY a few questions about the world. I was surprised how many did not even know the date of the 9-11 terrorist attack.

BTW: One daughter 7 weeks old.

3 kids, all at university and living on their own.
We love it! So nice if they come to see us, sooooo nice if they are gone again.
Now we can decide what to record and what to watch (actually, its my wife that decides what to watch.....)

empty nest syndrome ensues... until they come home with the laundry :p

my parents avoided that because by the time my little brother went to college, my older brother had already dropped out and moved back home. they were also taking care of my grandparents, and my fathers uncle... so they have never had the home to themselves...

heh... so, I was going to include this in my first post, but decided against it.

I have a 4 year old niece, she was born during my freshman year of college, my brother was a sophomore at the time... I could probably talk about that for a few hours... but I will spare you all.

its interesting that you brought that up though Smile

I've got a 2 year old boy and another on the way any day now.

I've got more Diego, Handy Manny and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse than any sane person needs Cool

That must have been tough, did he graduate eventually ?

Since I'm working at a School of Fine Arts, I see all these new students (18 to 22 yr old) checking out each other, love blooms here and there.
Last year a couple had a kid, beginning of their 2nd year ( so that would be something like a sophomore, right ?) Now they come to school one at the time so the other one can watch the baby ...... sad.
Hope my 3 girls will have more sense than that, and if they don't well ...we cross that bridge when we get there. I'll probably love them as much as I do now.
