For future reference here is some current info regarding EPG on BEV (from this site):

Quote:Since there seems to be some confusion on EPG location I figured I would post their current location. This is taken straight off the satellites and is current.

Here is the 9-day guide which is only located on 91. Tune to anyone of these channels to get it. Also keep in mind that the 9-day guide is carried by PID x0441 so your guide needs to be able to parse it.

Code:
PAT Version Number: 26
Transport Stream ID: 1 (0x0001)

Yeah, thats what GB-PVR is doing. I definitely got the 9 days worth of data being pulled out of the sample transport stream, so if the listings arent appearing its something wrong with the process that attempts to match those listings back to the channels. (so its close, very close)

Just an update and a couple of questions. I applied the patch and I am only getting the 48 hour guide as well.

Now for my questions; How does GBPVR update the EPG when you are using BDA EPG setting (after the first time when you click Update EPG)?

Do I have to leave it on a transponder channel which has the EPG on it (ie I have read a lot of people leaving it on History channel)?

Or does it update the same was as it does with any other EPG?

If so how do you stop from getting 2 instances of the MDAPIfilter form happening?

Thanks

When I got home afterwork today I checked the guide and sure enough there was 9 days worth of EPG!!! Big Grin

This was using the patch sub provided which didn't work when I initially ran it manually but I guess it worked for the automatic DVB EPG update while I was sleeping ? I don't know why it didn't work initially and why it worked since then ...but YAY it worked!!! Smile

Another bonus side effect I noticed: I am for the first time getting automatic channel icons in the guide for some channels - cool. Smile

Now tonite I am gonna try switching all my DVB channels over to the DVB EPG instead of zap2xml and see what happens...

I'm sure its still a bit buggy, but I'll be interested to hear how you get on.

I am now getting more then the 2 day guide, but not the full 9 day yet (I forgot the check the DishNetwork EIT support). Maybe that will happen overnight with the auto EPG update. I will try to leave it not tuned to a channel tonight to stop the MDAPIfilter from being started twice.

Well I checked quickly this morn before work and I got mixed results. Most channels on BEV 91 seemed to have the 44 hour (2-day) EPG, however about 1/4 of the BEV 91 channels had the 9-day guide. I would expect the channels from TP12224 to have 9-days EPG but it seemed like there were a few more channels than just 1 TP. I would also expect the channels from TP12311 to have the 2-day but there was definitely more channels than just 1 TP having the 2-day guide - most of the channels. Hope what I am saying makes some sense (I didn't have much time before work and haven't had my coffee yet!) Wink

I am pretty sure all my BEV 82 channels had only the Now/Next (couple hours) guide info.

I had been using the 'Complete EPG reload' option and now I am wondering if I should turn this option off. I am guessing, but is it possible even if the full 9-day EPG was downloaded from TP12224 that it would be over written with less EPG info as the other TP's were scanned? Another thing I wondered was if the scan on TP12224 had enough time to get all 9-days for all channels? I also wondered if the EPG stream is continuous or is it broadcast intermittently, possibly a hit/miss window of time for downloading the EPG?

Yet another thing I am unclear about - would BEV91 EPG stream contain data for BEV82 channels and vice versa?

I am having pretty much the same results as you are, and funny enough wondering the same things as well! I thought I read on one of the forums that the BEV receivers update the EPG at 2 specific times, either a day or hour. I will have to look for this again to find out what they were again.

I don't believe that BEV91 has guide info for BEV82, but I think it is the other way around.

Did you ever get the 48 hours of guide on 82? I enabled channel 781 and that seemed to do the trick for me.
