A few vista users have had this. If you go and set the service properties for the GB-PVR Recording Service to 'allow service to interact with desktop' does it start working?

I can see in your logs my favourite message

Code:
2008-04-06 09:40:07.450    ERROR    [4]    Error starting webserver: Could not load file or assembly 'GBPVRRecordingService, Version=1.0.3009.22581, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

You need to tell the recording service to interact with the Desktop.

BTW the web server timeout is thirty seconds it's probably best to let it go through.

You've got to sharpen your act up, MartinSmile

OK. Ticked the screen interact for gbpvr rec svc. Made no diff. Still endless buffering.

mp3 or wmv playing throws it into a serious wobble. Screens flash and no sound. Putty log showed it had run out of video memory! Had to power off.

Have to use Putty as it still won't start from the PCH GBPVR prompt.

After having rebooted your PCH, do you still get this 'out of video memory' when you first try to run it from putty?

No. The out of video memory was after I tried to play music.
