This won't be related to the QAM.ini Manager but zip and post your config logs and I'll take a look.

Ok, thanks for your help. I cleaned up my log directory and duplicated my actions. I attached the log file in a Zip.

Can you try running Re-RegisterFilters.bat? If that doesn't solve the issue, run filtercheck.exe and post the resulting filtercheck.log

Try specifying your default MPEG and AC3 decoders in the playback tab of Config.

Editing the Playback Tab did spur some results. I was now able to Map Digital Channels to EPG Channels. I now have a bunch of channels found during the scan and I get a picture, though a bit shaky in the display window. Now I brought up PVRX2 to see if it works. If I hit "Live TV" it just blinks. Picture, Video Libraries work fine but the TV Guide choice locks the program up. I attached another zip files of the logs.

You know I had this process when I was getting the 1600 going. When I finally got picture the HD channels were shaky.

Then it all got smooth. I thought for sure it had something to do with my drivers. But they're the same version that ships with the card 3.4d

I think it all cleared up when I removed all of hauppauge software. I know that wintv wasn't working the way I expected anyway, so I thought I'd keep trying without it. That means to me, that one of the Hauppauge codecs was interfering with my GB-PVR stuff.

I was really hoping to find out the 'correct' way to install, as I wanted to write a special wiki for the Hauppauge.

The one thing I did learn was My ASUS MB and the 1600 sucked. Everything was so much better when I moved it to my Asrock

I used to ask 'why?' Now I just reinstall...

Code:
GBPVR.Backend.Common.GbpvrException: No channels have been set up. Please run the Configuration utility and setup the EPG source. Use the 'Update EPG' button to force the system to import the latest set of channel and programme information.
After running the scan and identifying the channels, you need to map them to the list of EPG channels in the left pane of the channel mapping window. If you did this, edit the capture source again and make sure that all channels that contain a tuning string are checked for enabled.

Did all that but I still have a problem running LiveTV in the Gbpvr program. It just hangs for a few minutes and exits out back to menu page. I attached log file for just this operation.

BTW, I want thank you for all your help.....

hi, i have a hdhomerun, now i have used your tool like you said so maybe i am missing something? the tool does write a new qam.ini, and when i go to scan (center 70+) it keeps bringing up tones of channels.....that do not seem to work. shouldn't the tool cut down the channels that do not work?

also what is the benefit of tuning qam versus remap? i guess for hdhome run its not an issue?
