Chris

I like this idea. I'd definitely support it!

Me too. Cleaner, neater. Always wondered (from my time with the MVP) why that wasn't an option ...

There is nothing to exit to on the Hauppauge dongle, it would just show some boxes on the bottom and reconnect. That is why exit isn't defined.

I updated the main lircd file. For the NMT remote the Repeat key was not properly mapped to Prev Channel. I hope the next time something stops working I don't waste an hour looking at mvpmc2 wondering what is wrong.

I remembered this http://mod-mce.sourceforge.net from my days using mythtv.
I know there are not many places in GBPVR were a keyboard is essential, but I like the MCE keyboard, cus its got good range and is so big, it can't slip down the side of the sofa! I already use it on 1 gbpvr slave and it would be cool to use it with the PCH as well. I'm quite happy to do the key coding if Martin can make his tools available and maybe point me in the right direction.

I happened upon on one of these used and so I bought it, it really is a nice unit. I see what you mean about some of the keys not working. My guess is the MCE IR eye also has a keyboard driver. I'll play with it for a bit to see what I come up with.

I had to reboot the PCH today (a rare requirement recently).

Panic - couldn't find the original PCH remote and it had lost the Hauppauge lirc data. Much searching found it and restored sanity with a few button presses Big Grin

I suppose I phrased it badly.

I meant the PCH had (temporarily) lost the ability to use the Hauppauge remote.
