Not really, no Rolleyes

I've been using what little time I have to concentrate on plugins that I need to actually make NPVR usable in my setup (ie ReClockOrNot and TimeSharer) because at the moment it still isn't as good as GBPVR for me.

I also need to rethink the plans for Videos+ now that scb147 has given up on NPVR. We were aiming for a combined folder browser/database implementation, and it may just be the former that I code for to begin with. I'm also crap at anything skin-related and can waste hours fighting with the bloody things.

I'm up for this challenge if it would help you?

I have done it in the past with Martin for WebRadio & Alex for MLPanel. Actually I'm currently doing it for the very very slow moving update version of MLPanel for NextPVR which I hope will be ready for release sometime.........I won't say soon though Wink

Yep, if you're willing to help that would be great. Might be a while before there's anything you could do though (how's 2015 for you? Big Grin) but I do keep meaning to get (re)started on it soon.

Just been looking at the ThumbGen stuff that was linked to in another thread. Anyone used it and have any comments on it? Is it worth considering for Videos+ ? It might make life a lot easier, or would people still prefer a "proper" implementation that displays the metadata itself using NPVR's skins?

imilne, I have not used ThumbGen but will try it out. My movie collection is organized and structured using "Ember Media Manager - Revisited (https://sourceforge.net/projects/emm-r/)" and I have xml descriptions, posters and fanart. As long as Videos+ is able to read these generated files I would be a happy camper.

Another sunny day here (no beer though Sad) but I've actually made some progress for once.

One of the problems with this type of plugin however, is that I need to duplicate pretty much all of the existing Videos screen functionality before I can even get started on the fancy meta-data display that Videos+ is going to do. It'll get there though. Eventually...

Thought I'd post a quick update to let you know that I am still working on this, although the code has been sitting untouched since April (when I started the whole thing again from scratch).

I've been making good progress with getting the core functionality of directory browsing and basic video playback up and running, and also have a structure in place to support the multitude of different views that the plugin is going to need. I've pretty much finished support for playing media files in an external player, and will now look at supporting ISOs (and blu-rays if I can).

There's still a *lot* to be done though
