Any idea when the next release will be available?

Been using 1.5.33 for a while now and have a couple of issues that I'm holding off on reporting to see whats resolved / added in the next release. Keep up the good work, awesome system.

I have some issues with skipping in recordings. I am not sure tough if the problem is due to NPVR or some HW problems. The recordings are to a new 1 TB disk and I have been getting some strange inconsistency reports when rebooting so the Windows HD checker started to check the disk. No problems found though, but strange still...

Are there some fixes due to skipping in the new release or is it something I will have to hunt down in my own HW setup?

No, nothing has really changed on that front.

Just to be absolutely clear. Is it a known bug that you have not adressed in the coming release. Or is it purely a bug in my HTPC hardware/driver/etc?

No, it isnt a general problem I'm aware of. There is some issues related to skipping when playback is resumed of previous played files.

Ok, I have this issue in nearly all recordings, and even on live occasionally, since that goes through a disk buffer too I guess.
I will have to investigate this further in my setup. It does not sound as if it is a NPVR issue. I was kind of hoping for it to be a NPVR issue though since I have no clue whatsoever of what the problem is. As far as I know all drivers and HW are in perfect condition... Sigh...

You said you had a new 1 TB drive, what is the rpm of the drive I've had issues with larger drives that are 5400 rpm but goes away once I replaced it with a 7200 rpm drive. It really shows up while watching a show while recording another show. Just thought I let you know what I've found using slower speed drives, I recommend always use 7200 rpm drive or higher for all video even they are great deals on a 5400 drive but not worth the trouble if using them with video.

I'ts a fairly high-end Samsung Spinpoint F3 with 7200 RPM/32 MB cache. So it is not likely to cause the problems by bad performance.

I think I have some sort of hardware conflict in the computer. I switched the disk from SATA channel 4 to SATA channel 1, which made it show up in BIOS, which it didn't do before. So now the computer boots a bit faster too. And so far no skips in video. However instead one of my tuners on PCI refuses to work, and audio is now skipping instead. Not due to bugs from NPVR, but from the hardware conflicts. Maybe an IRQ issue. I will try to rip out the tuner card and see if it solves anything. Really, why is all this happening. It is beyond me... And I am a tech guy. I've been fiddling with these issues since my upgrade to Win7. In XP I had to inactivate one if the other tuners to get things going. But then it was stable. Doh!
