I can change any elements as these are layered.
Also, the slogan is just something I thought of and can be changed or removed.  Any other suggestions?

Yep - it should be kept simple and generic enough to blend well into any skin that might use it, or perhaps come in a collection of colour options that can be swapped into skins as suits best. These look more like splash screen logos....which could be nice to have too.

a logo for gbpvr... well i gotta pitch something too...

i think a logo has to look good monochrome without any shading first... so here are a few flat samples. i think the best would be number 6...
also using primary colours and sans-serif fonts is always the safest way to go especially if something is intended to be used for the screen where you might only have very few pixels at your disposal...

number one looks nice! and it could be displayed with shading in the circle. the gbpvr-logo has to look fine on a skin and on the web. a monochrome view would be useful for black/white skins and a logo without shading could be used for the mediamvp...
