I again hoped that I would get the whole NASCAR race last night. Recording started on time at about 19:30 but stopped 3.5 hours later while the race continued on till 23:45 or thereabouts.

Logs are attached. Can you tell me what is wrong?

Thanks...

Sorry NextEnd does not appear to have run for the last month based on your logs. Check your batch file to see if you changed it since then If not maybe upload you npvr.db3 files somewhere and I will have a look to see what might be happening.

I've zipped up three files for you to look over: npvr.db3, config.xml and ParallelProcessing.bat. the zip file can be retrieved at https://expirebox.com/download/539a01100...75a93.html. The password for unzipping: martin00.

It seems the log should at least have an entry that NextEnd was invoked. Puzzling.

Appreciate the help, Martin.

That looks good, not sure why it doesn't work.

Can you run (on Sunday the number will change tomorrow)

"%PROGRAMFILES(X86)%\NPVR\NextEnd.exe" --resume --eventoid 95631337

to see if it starts the monitor for next week's race properly.

My apologies, Martin, but I didn't get to see your post until today, Monday the 15th.

Is your command still valid? Is there somewhere in the database that I can get the eventoid? (I'm pretty good with DBs.Smile)

Yes that will be the oid in the EPG_EVENT table corresponding to an actual race next week. Just to confirm things are working you can try recording any major league sport this evening and then run the same command but use --oid #### using the oid in the SCHEDULED_RECORDING table.

OK, Martin. I think I have it.

I've scheduled the 8pm ET NBA Wizards/Celtics game normally. The command line I will use is :"%PROGRAMFILES(X86)%\NPVR\NextEnd.exe" --resume --oid 30530 (This number is from the OID column in the SCHEDULED-RECORDING table.)

Thanks for the help.

That line is just for testing and to make sure you get a log file with today's date. If it works properly ParallellProcessing.bat at 8pm should give the same results.

OK, Martin.

Attached is the normal logs zipfile but with two additional files:
1 - Test-NextEnd.bat (contains "%PROGRAMFILES(X86)%\NPVR\NextEnd.exe" --resume --oid 30530 >C:\Users\Public\NPVR\TestLog.txt)
2 - TestLog.txt

I launched the command line shown in the .bat file(did not launch the .bat file) from a command prompt showing folder %PROGRAMFILES(X86)%\NPVR\. The redirection(>) created the file TestLog.txt. This file has no timestamps but its contents look substantially like the contents of NextEnd.log. It seems NextEnd worked as designed.

Could there be a security problem? Did the service you use make another change that affects only NASCAR? I'll certainly set up a manual test again Saturday night for the All-star Charlotte race.

Anything you want me to try?

Those generated the NextEnd.log files ok but because you left it running, we can't tell if parallelprocessing.bat worked or not, only one monitor per oid is logged. I don't think things have changed in the last month for NASCAR certainly I had some working races and the All Star race from you guide data checks out ok.
