Click that channel, then scroll to the end of the channel list, hold shift and click the last channel (ie, selecting all the on-demand movie and tv shows), then click delete. It'll probably take a while. Let it complete, then try Kodi again, to see if it then loads.

You got it!
I deleted about 3000 channels, and Kodi seems able to cope!! Need to check more, but it seems to be working.

FYI: NPVR doesn't seem to do well with bulk deleting. e.g. trying to delete 1000 channels at once either does not work or causes issues.
I had to delete them a page at a time. A boring process but ok IF you know that is what it takes.

I've made some improvements in the next release around this.

In my experience, another reason why Kodi has a problem importing channels from NextPVR (counter either sits at 0% or displays 'Add-on couldn't be loaded') is because the NextPVR Add-On in Kodi is conflicting with some other Add-On in Kodi that is also enabled. If you are using an IPTV provider, make sure you ONLY configure the m3u and epg info in NextPVR, and DO NOT also install it in Kodi. The installations for some IPTV providers in Kodi automatically enable the PVR IPTV Simple Client Add-On, and that Add-On conflicts with NextPVR. You don't need it. Be sure you start with a clean installation of Kodi, and then ONLY enable the NextPVR Add-On, without installing any IPTV service. That has worked fine for me. Of course, it means you will only be able to watch live TV and the recordings made by NextPVR; you won't be able to access any On Demand content your IPTV provider may have. As far as I know, it's not possible to get both through Kodi on the same box.

I did try and use simpleiptv, which actually worked very well and with many channels. BUT no recording. Also it did take a long time to load.
I don't have any PVR but NPVR enabled. Not sure if that means the others I tried are 'lingering' somewhere in all the code.

All the work I did to get NPVR working was done on MY machine, now I have to replicate it on my partners. Which didn't happen on my first attempt. Though I was very tired and it was amongst lots of other things I am doing. By 'tired' I don't just mean sleepy. Smile
I am very grateful for the help, and will now do as I promised. Smile
