How low of a price will schedules direct get to?

[INDENT][INDENT]September 20, 2007

We have reached our goal and have lowered the membership fee to $20/year!

For existing members, we're in the process of adjusting your expiration date an additional three months. ($15/9 months)

In addition, Google Checkout is now an available payment method.

I think this is it for a little while. Any additional signups now will go towards getting their own servers and bandwith. What they are using is currently "on loan".

$1.67/month is pretty darn low though. Kind of eliminates the "I can't afford it" argument.

whurlston,

Thanks for the plug-in its working great. I have vista on another machine running Mcexml runs automactically with scheduled task and updating the EPG over the home network. The only small issue I have is the channel were out of order so I ran it with Fix channels and it put all but one in the correct order. for some reason channel 4 is before channel 2 see attached jpeg. Is there any way to corrrect this? its a little annoying because ch4 is a NBC in new york.
Things I tried

1)remove all channels and EPG from all 4 capture source
2) remove all channels, EPG and (4) capture source in the configue then re-install the 1st capture source and up date EPG.

both had no change in channel 4 order.

I cannot attached the XML file, but the provider ID is NJ29444. Attached are the logs and pic of the TV guide.

Thanks

Code:
"C:\EPG\MceEpg2XmlTv.exe" config=Lineup1
thanks, i set it to config=<myheadid> and it uses all the settings i set using the gui. i should have used debug mode to find the correct way to call the command-line utilities. only problem at this point (see below for how i fixed that) is that this brings in the channels i do want differently than before (so duplicate channels are listed), and the channels i don't have included are still there. so maybe include.txt WAS working for me before but i just couldn't tell.

zehd Wrote:Oh one thing that you can do with the GUI even if you're only using the command line tools, is use the fix channels and update EPG buttons. They work really well for straightening out guides
and fix channels from the gui got rid of all the unwanted channels and shows in my epg, so i'm all set now. thanks for all your help, and hopefully this free service will keep working!

i'm also getting dupes....so what does 'fix channels' do?
mine are only on the last 3 channels of guide..
seems to be the similar-in-content 'alt' sports channels..

where do those channel id #'s come from? that's the only duplicate in the entries..
will fix channels fix that permanently if i don't use gui normally?

Did you check to see if you had a stored recording on channel 4? This caused a similar problem for me. Copying the empty.db3 file to gbpvr.db3 file and redoing the setup process fixed it. Of course you lose all the scheduled recordings.

Thanks Martin it works fine now. I just need to set up the reoccurance recordings. I guess their not an easy way to import the date from the old gbpvr.db3 for a newbie?

Do you have duplicates actually in the output XML? You would need to use the exclude.txt if you do.... If not then...

Fix Channels will work fine, as a one time thing, even if you don't use the GUI regularily.

Set Up GBPVR for XMLTV Listings (Batch File - Automatic)

Along with switching your EPG Source from one technique to another, this batch file will also Straighten out your channel order…

* Backs up your database
* Exports your Recording and Recurring Schedules
* Purges the CHANNELS table in the database
* Updates the EPG with the new channels and listings
* Imports your Recording and Recurring Schedules
* Refreshs the EPG to populate pending recordings…

When you do this, it calls the UpdateEPG.bat twice. If you are not using the GUI, then you will have a longer wait as UpdateEPG will run through it's download, and export TWICE...

So make some coffee and sit a spell

I'm trying to sort out if it is possible to see the channel # instead of station call-sign in my recording lists. In the TV Guide I have channel # followed by call-sign on the left side. When I select a show to record, only the call-sign is displayed, not the channel #. Additionally when I review my recordings, they only have the call-sign, not the channel #.

I seem to remember in ver .97 I would see the channel # in the recording screens instead of call-sign.

Is this a GB-PVR setting, or is it related to my change in EPG from Zap2It to MceEpg2XmlTv?
