Where do you get it reven? I assumed what they're talking about is MVP only, and was introduced with this specific change I introduced a few days ago:

Quote:- Now using asynchronous handling of MVP key presses. This should help users that were getting disconnects on operations taking more than about 8 seconds.

im pretty sure its just the animated task image, its forcing a repaint and which is interrupting a render which is causing the issue. that being said, i couldnt reproduce the problem just now, it was showing up in early versions.

i use to get this problem when i was using the forcerepaint method, thats why i didnt think much of it.

No, it shouldnt be that. Everything with the animation stuff happens on the one thread (except in the case of PVR350, which does cause a problem).

If you done this from a thread or inside the render method with the image already locked, then I can see you'd get this error.

yeah i know thats why i was getting the error (it was before i covered thread safe at uni Smile), and i presumed thats why i was seeing that error in the log.

and the fact that sometimes the main menu is repainted again after you enter a plugin to finish the animation, call it a bad mental model.

Ok, next time you get it in the main menu, post the log and I'll take a look.

adi2004 Wrote:It's an Athlon XP2000+ running Windows XP Pro. Everything else seems to work, except I have also noticed that on some menu navigations the menu items vanish to be replaced by just the background image for a few seconds, then the buttons reappear; almost as though the program is doing an internal restart.

I'm seeing this in xrecord, background with the black square where the recordings should be and no buttons. If I hit the any key (45 button remote) the buttons appear on the left and the ready recordings appear in the black box. I only use MVP's and have animations set to false in the config.

Can't seem to edit. It appears to only happen the first time after getting into the config.exe then clicking ok. If I just restart the services it doesn't seem to happen.

"Use FFDSHOW post-processing if installed" option in Playback config screen is missing after upgrading - was this intentional or has my upgrade messed up?

could someone remind me what files i need to save before installing the new version? offhand i am thinking config.xml, gbpvr.mdb, and postprocessing.bat...
should the old version of gbpvr be un-installed prior to installing the new one?

I'm occasionally getting "The object is currently in use elsewhere." message when trying to move on the main menu. I have animations set to false. These appear to be the same symptoms that adj2004 is seeing. I haven't found any pattern to reproduce, if you need logs let me know which ones and I'll try and save them when it happens.
