I just tried playing back a file a few times (each time abruptly stopping it while pressing back/exit on my 34-button remote like i normally do when i want to leave and do something else.) Each time I choose Play (it does present the options of Play, Resume, Delete, Exit) it plays the file but doesn't give that pop-up if i want to Resume or Restart.
I also went into config.exe to make sure this option was checked (and it was). So I unchecked it, then closed config.exe, then re-opened config.exe and made sure prompt resume was checked but still no difference.

I've just double checked the 'prompt for resume' stuff now, and seems to be working fine for me.
What renderer are you using (VMR7/9/Overlay)? Or is this on an MVP? Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.
I upgraded, lost all my recordings and sched'd recordings. Threw my backed up mdb and config.xml into the gbpvr folder and restarted the recording service, went through config and had no recording source. put my recording source back in there, and went back to gbpvr, and my previous recordings exist, but none of my sched'd recordings are there.
Not a big deal, as there are only a dozen or so programs i have it record. but still. the upgrade process wasn't smooth.

No, you cant do that. The gbpvr.mdb and config.xml and not compatible between versions. To use these backups, you'd need to uninstall, delete the GB-PVR directory, reinstall the old version, then copy these files back, then try the upgrade again.
With what you've done, you'll end up with some capture sources that wont load because they have some required database fields missing, but they're still there enough to break stuff. You should either do what I suggested above, or delete the gbpvr.mdb so that a new one is created.
If anyone has any problems upgrade, post a note to let me know before you try to fix it. I'd like to take a closer look to see why it failed.
I had the upgrade mess mine up in the same way others described, but sadly I forgot to copy my config.xml (guess I let go of control when I selected both files to copy). I have my gbpvr.mdb file though... So copying that file back over won't simply work to save the recordings? I resetup the config settings (couldn't test it as I'm RDP'd in from work)...
Well, I just came on to add, config will not save my capture source. But I see I may have worsened my problem. I will try and revert back to the previous version, then do the upgrade again.
