I have the new patch installed. Some recordings were scheduled and the video was fine. Still no audio though. Perhaps I'll use the TSReader to find out what the proper audio PID's should be.

Reviewing the recordings I found a couple of problems

Thw scan for WUVG shows two channels each with two audios all spa (which is correct, this is Univision which broadcasts in Spanish), however the Audio PID in the tuning request for is 53 for all, not 52 for the first and 52 for the second.

The tuning request entry in the log looks correct, but the drop-down isn't giving the right PIDs

9/17/2006 7:31:57 PM.531 VERBOSE [1] Adding tuning request: 48,34,1~P:3~V:49~A:52~PMT:48~N:>34.1 WUVG DT (spa)

9/17/2006 7:31:57 PM.531 VERBOSE [1] Adding tuning request: 48,34,2~P:4~V:65~A:68~PMT:64~N:>34.2 WUVG-DT (spa)

Config log attached.

Also, all recordings are fine except one channel which skipped on playback, I'm investigating that one.

Ok, I'll have a look back to your earlier post that contained the TS Reader output for this channel to see if I can see what is happening.

Otherwise, thats sounding really good though. I'm pleased with the progress we've made.

I made another recording on the same channel with no problem. I'll do a little more testing but hopefully this was a one-off.

I can fix this, but I need to make sure they end up with a unique name. The name is the bit after the "N:>". In this case we're ending up with "34.1 WUVG DT (spa)" and "34.1 WUVG DT (spa)" being exactly the same since they're both WUVG DT, both spanish and both on 34.1.

Any suggestions on what to do with the name? I cant see anything in the TS Reader output that gives me any clues to the difference between the two, so I might need to do something fairly generic like call the first one "34.1 WUVG DT (spa)", then the next one gets called "34.1 WUVG DT (spa) #2" - unless you have any other insight or recommendation?

I'd say that suffix any duplicates with #2, #3 etc - there's likely no foolproof way to determine what should be what and the important thing is to be able to differentiate them such that when mapping with the drop-down you can select every available program/audio combination.
