Thanks...that last log uncovered another bug.....Try the attached.... Big Grin

I was making things a lot more difficult than I think they needed to be.....

Test Scenarios:

just start date = should find the matching programmes that start at any time on or after the start date entered
just start time = should find the matching programmes that start from the date/time the search is run where the program start time is on or after the start time entered
just start date and time = should find the matching programmes with a start date/time that are equal to or greater than the start date and time entered

just end date = should find the matching programmes that end at any time on or before the end date entered
just end time = should find the matching programmes that end on or before the date/time the search is run + 30 days where the program end time is on or before the end time entered
just end date and time = should find the matching programmes with an end date/time that are equal to or less than the end date and time entered

just start date and end date = should find the matching programmes that start at any time on or after the entered start date and end on or before the entered end date
just start date and end time = should find the matching programmes that start at any time on or after the entered start date and that end on or before the date/time the search is run + 30 days where the program end time is on or before the time entered
just start date and end date and end time = should find the matching programmes that start at any time on or after the entered start date and and that have an end date/time that are equal to or less than the end date and time entered

hi Ujb

I tested a few scenarios, it seems to me that with all parameters set it works ok, with no parameters set it works ok. But with parameters set partially it gives a server error.

Hi UJB,

I think you did itBig Grin , congrats. All searches ran fine afaict. I must admit that I didn't read your post, with all the scenarios, very thoroughly yesterday. So at first I was a bit surprised with the logic, it was different than I expected. I expected the time parameters to apply to every day the search was run on, not only for the first day and the last day. I hope you get what I mean. e.g. If you would run a search with just time start and end time set, it would search every day between those times.
Anyway, I think you conquered it.

That's good news thanks......

Yes.....if you enter just two times (start and end) all programmes will be searched that have a start time that is >= the entered start time and and end time that is <= the entered end time.

The search has always had a date timeframe that was used....it has always been the date the search is run for the start date and 30 days from that date for the end date.

If you do not enter a date then that still is in effect....so if you entered a start time of 8:00 p.m and an end time of 11:00 p.m. and did a search today (10/14) then all shows that start at or after 8:00 p.m. and end at or before 11:00 p.m. and fall into a date range of 10/14/2007 through 11/13/2007 would meet the time criteria that was entered.

Make sense?

Yes I think it makes sense. I think I found the confusion:
When I enter a time frame from 0.00 - 0.30 it will find all the shows in that period + all the shows btween 12.00 and 12.30. If I enter a time frame 12.00-12.30 it'll find all the shows between 0,00 and 0.30 aswell. Probably something with 12 hr versus 24hr clock.
For the rest it works great afaict, great job.

It's set to 24 hr notation.
