Looking forward to test driving it when it is finally ready!

Iain,

Thanks, I have it installed and still messing around with it. What is the bahbah.lock file suppose to do and whats suppose to be in it or is it just a marker file?

I like the ability to display the fanart as you move the cursor over a subdirectory that contains one. BTW, I had to add the nutility update that you suggested and seems to run fine so far. I'd say it's a very good start.

It's just a marker file, so you can protect with a PIN (configured in the Settings screen) individual videos or entire folders if you want. I have all my DVDs ripped and accessible in a single location, but with a baby-cum-toddler in the house now I figured I'd need a way to make sure he didn't end up watching stuff unsuitable for his age. Not that he knows what a TV or a remote control is yet, but by the time he does I might actually have finished the plugin Big Grin

I know I'm very late to the discussion but have you considered using the MyMovies database to dynamically browse and display the collection data (movies that have been added via the MyMovies Collection Manager)?

It's not something I've really looked into, because I never use WMC and I can't understand what you do and don't get from MyMovies due to their complicated points based pricing model.

I don't use WMC either but my experience has been that you get everything you need (MyMovies Collection Manager) without any points. I have found their movie database to be very good and pretty complete too.

Ok, I'll try to find the time to investigate it at some point then. I doubt it'll make it into Videos+ (in its current implementation), but it won't do any harm to look. Perhaps its movie descriptions are better than the ones the other media scrapers pull back; it's like they were written by five year olds.

there was this project i started years ago, that has a metadata framework (as well as others)
http://code.google.com/p/gbpvrlibrary/
was originally written for gbpvr, but the metadata stuff should still work (i used it now and again when i need to get data from thetvdb.com).

it was suppose to be a community library, but kind of just was forgotten about.

Hi Iain. Smile

Have you given up this very promising project? Sorry to bump this thread, but we just can't await this plugin. ^.^
You like nPVR? Then please help pay the bills, and keep the project alive!

No, not at all, but unfortunately, a very busy/tiring day job and a very demanding one-year-old at home doesn't leave me much time for anything else these days. I've not been able to write a line of code for any of my plugins since about August. I do have quite a bit of time off over Christmas though, so maybe, just maybe...

There were a few hints at what it looks like in this thread: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...post417330
