Dvd iso's on mvpmcx2

OK, so with putty I'll turn on the session logging. What command do you suggest I run once I open the putty telnet session to the HDX1000?

With the NMT software running run /share/Apps/mvpmcx2/bin/mvpmcx2

Here's the logfile. I attempted to play //HDX1000/dvd/Battlestar Galactica 1/Battlestar Galactica 1.iso at about 9pm.

Ok good, I see what I was looking for.

Could you try the same thing after using

ln -s /share/Video/DVD/ /mnt/\\\\HDX1000\\dvd

Good it is issuing the command I hoped for. Can you try it via telnet

mount -t iso9660 /mnt/\\\\HDX1000\\dvd/BM5U5N~N/BM5U5N~N.ISO /iso

and check to see if it works

ls /iso

if there is folder /iso could you run mkdir /iso and try again

Tried the following:
mkdir /iso
mount -t iso9660 /mnt/\\\\HDX1000\\dvd/BM5U5N~N/BM5U5N~N.ISO /iso
ls /iso

The ls /iso showed no entries.

Thanks for your attempts in getting this working, but I've given up on this for now. Moved the iso files from the HDX1000 to the NextPVR server which works fine. Both the eGreat and HDX1000 mvpmxc2's can play back the iso files from there no problems.

Ok thanks for the update. You probably would have had more luck playing them from the share folder the way I designed and tested local playback anyway. I hadn't given up on you, I was just waiting until I had time to find an old ide drive and set it up.

From my recollection, this was the way I originally had this setup (i.e attempting to play from the share folder). While I could get this to work using 'mount' the HDX1000 didn't seem to want to play the iso file as a local file... it looked like it was streaming the file to itself for playback resulting in jerky playback. None of the symbolic link suggestions seem to have done the trick.

I hadn't given up on you...

Appreciated, thanks. I'll give it a break for a bit and then maybe try again from scratch. It's been a good learning experience in seeing how these NMT devices work.
