Just an FYI since this is an OpenElec thread the new updates clears up the Tuner not found in the raspberry PI.

where do I find the server side logs? I am assuming server means nextpvr logs? Are there logs for the HD Home Run? Is the HDHomerun extended a reliable tuner? It is new and I can return it and get something better.

Hi there, havent any logs atm, sorry. Thought it might be related. Can create new thread if needed.

14.1 has solved tuner not available (for me), when initialy starting channels, very happy.

However, it seems to have broken channel hopping, while there is an active stream playing.
Ie. Watching channel... select new channel, tuner not avail.... Likewise, watching channel, type channel number for anoth channel, tuner not avail...
Press stop, then select channel, works fine.

IF, i turn off Timeshifting. It goes away completely, can channel hop with no issue at all. But i use timeshifting.
Any ideas??

Thank you

Are you using OpenElec ? On what type of Client? It is very hard to offer suggestions when you do not state what type of client PI windows etc... When reporting a problem you should provide as much information as possible.

what pontyjon is describing sounds much like what I am experiencing as losing the tuner seems to happen during changing channels and time shifting. I will try his method tonight of stopping between channels.

NYPLAYER, your comment regarding OpenElec, does this mean I should start a new thread in the windows area?

Thanks

What happens is that it gets confusing whether you are talking OpenElec or windows they are 2 different Platforms. Linux Vs windows. I expect that anybody that posts here is talking OpenElec.

"Tuner not available" means almost any serror in Kodi and without logs it isn't even worth bothering trying to respond. If the problems is on the RPi then try Raspmc or OSMC. Most errors I get in OE on the RPi, I don't see in OSMC or on the RPi2.

Not to beat a dead horse...but I'm having similar issues with the generic message "Tuner Not Found". Looking at the kodi log, I see:
21:54:45 T:3168 DEBUG: PVRManager - PVR::CPVRManager::OpenLiveStream - opening live stream on channel 'DISCVR DISCOVER'
21:54:45 T:3168 DEBUG: opening live stream for channel 'DISCVR DISCOVER'
21:54:45 T:3168 DEBUG: AddOnLog: NextPVR PVR Client: OpenLiveStream(8Big GrinISCVR DISCOVER) (oid=7154)
21:54:45 T:3168 DEBUG: AddOnLog: NextPVR PVR Client: OpenLiveStream()@1
21:54:45 T:3168 DEBUG: AddOnLog: NextPVR PVR Client: OpenLiveStream()@2
21:54:45 T:3168 DEBUG: AddOnLog: NextPVR PVR Client: HTTP/1.1 403 ForbiddenServer: NextPVR

Connection: Close

Not sure why there is an http 403 in there. Very strange

My setup:
Client Machine - Kodi 14.1 (w/ NextPVR add-on) on Windows
Server Machine - Win2k12 R2 x64. Next PVR 3.3.8 is installed here, I've disabled the firewall, made exclusions, rebooted, etc.
Tuner - HD HomeRun Prime (verified working via VLC)

I've tried various patches that I've found but nothing seems to work. I've reset the database, double checked the service is running, enabling/disabling timeshifting, etc

Any ideas

westptx, Are you trying to stream across the internet?

Quote:2015-02-11 21:52:29.297 [DEBUG][16] Not allowing internet based streaming request from: 3.13.11.100

By default it only allows access from local address. You can set <AllowRemoteStreaming> to 'true' in config.xml to allow this though.
