Samsung Tizen client testing

Sure happy to do this, I will leave this on for a couple of days and see if there are other users that might not know this clients exists. It's easier to add users in bulks.

Guys it has been a year since I did this, so hopefully I got it right.  Here is the link to a the file which can be installed with sdb

(Only users who have PM'd me their device ID should bother to try, it is certificate restricted by Samsung)

At the end of the install it should show

app_id[org.emveepee.uimaui7.Tizen.TV] install completed

Let me know if it works or not and feel free to provide comments or questions.  It is a UI client so UI clients work pretty much the same way.  I didn't test recordings with thumbnails that will be the best way to skip with the newer Samsung remotes but other remotes work.  I use a full Bluetooth remote with numbers and other keys that help playback.

I also found out the old certificates expire in December so it was good to try and remember how to update anyway.

I tested the app in my two Samsung TVs.

First one from 2022 (tv 6.0), installation was ok. Remote works as expected, playing and recording as well. Also Live TV.

Second one from 2019 (tv 5.0), installation finds an error and finishes, possibly because TV it is an old one. However, other apps like Jellyfin, Siptv and Smart IPTV install and run fine.
May I ask if you can compile the app for tv 5.0 TVs @mvallevand?

First thanks for reporting back, I am glad the build process worked. It took a bit of reading and the GUI could be easier for updates.

Based on this https://developer.samsung.com/smarttv/de...roups.html the issue is I target API 5.5 The reason for that is the is a .Net app and that started in 5.5 https://developer.tizen.org/tizen/tizen/tizen-5.5 Other apps use a web API but may have more troubles with direct play especially on older TV's. Jellyfin's transcoding might be better anyway.

Could you PM me the DUID you want removed please. There is a design issue in the client because I didn't plan for two Samsung TV's talking to one server. I had noted that when you PM'd me I really was just testing the install yesterday.

I have added a new user in this build, I didn't make any other changes, but I am not sure if existing packages will work, I think the DUIDs are included but it is hard to say.
