Haven't had a chance to try out this release yet, but a couple of lines in the What's New list in particular are making me salivate like a rabid canine:

sub Wrote:- Added a 'Transport Stream' mux option, but this is more for my testing, so I dont recommend anyone uses it.

Woo! Could this possibly be the beginnings of functionality for recording multiple channels on one DVB mux at once, using only one BDA card??! I would most likely weep with joy if that were to be the case.

sub Wrote:- Improvements to teletext. In addition to analog tv, it also now works with DVB. Teletext is now accessed using the red key (Ctrl-R).

I assume this refers to old-school analogue style teletext being broadcast over DVB, as opposed to MHEG/MHP digital teletext...?

I installed the new release this weekend and now my ATI 550 is not recording. I have and PVR 150 and ATI 550. The PVR 150 records with out any issues but the ATI 550 just creates a file of 0 bites. I tried reloading the ATI drive and restarting several time but no luck.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I'm using the new nVidia Platinum decoders for audio and video by the way.

I've tried setting the value to every 100ms interval from 300ms to 1000ms and the results are all roughly the same. Timeshift produces a series of frame bursts maybe 5-10 frames, freeze for a few frames, 5-10 frames, freeze for a few frames, etc. This just goes on until I get tired of watching little bursts of program and stop the timeshift --- which doesn't take long :-)

I've defragged the drive but there wasn't much on it to begin with so defragging didn't turn up much fragmentation. This is a ATA 133 drive so it's as fast as non-SATA drives get. The CPU is a Athlon XP 3000+ with 1GB of the appropriate memory.

Nope. I just transport streams sometimes for my testing so that I can get all the teletext info etc recorded.

Yes, as in teletext which is still prevalent in most DVB countries in europe, and in Australia/New Zealand.

The UK is pretty much different to everyone else, having adopted MHEG instead. I have no access to MHEG, so you probably wont see any support for it in the future.

No, sorry I didnt get this added. I had hoped to, but it was going to require some reasonably significant changes, which were more than I wanted to do at the last minute before the release.

Try editing config.xml and setting
<
AutoDetectEncoderMethod>1</AutoDetectEncoderMethod>

Last time I looked at the Hauppauge dig. terrestrial forum, I think there was something that said that the Nova-t drivers don't support MHEG anyway.
