Do not uninstall the old version. I suggest you

1. Make sure that nothing is about to be recorded in the next hour or so, just to make sure!!!
2. Stop the recording service, "close" the tray icon (right click on it and select close).
3. Copy the gbpvr directory to another directory name OR use winzip / winrar to back it up
4. Install the new version.
5. When "config" runs it will start the new tray program and restart the recording service.

You dont really need the setting in GB-PVR, since ffdshow usually inserts itself anyway.

These appear to be the same symptoms that adj2004 is seeing. I haven't found any pattern to reproduce, if you need logs let me know which ones and I'll try and save them when it happens.
Yes, a couple of MVP users have reported this. I'm looking into it. Next time it happens can you zip and attach you gbpvr.exe.log file so I can take a look? I've been unable to reproduce it here.

Nova-SE2 just finds Channels with "<BDAUsePsiParser>false</BDAUsePsiParser>".
But Scanning works fine now on all Transponders.

Good work Smile

What exactly happens if you have <BDAUsePsiParser>true</BDAUsePsiParser>? This will form the basis of many features to come in GB-PVR, so if you have to disable it, you'll be left behind.

ericbiermann Wrote:Hi,
I just installed the new version, hoping a tvguide bug was fixed: for one channel there were multiple (hidden) instances of shows in the guide. Scheduling on this channel led to 1 succesfull recording and 8 failed recordings.

I cleared the guide in the config application and then did a manual update. This was the result:"Failure in ChannelFactory:ConfusedtoreChannels(): The field is too small to accept the amount of data you attempted to add. Try inserting or pasting less data."

No there is hardly any data left in my tv guide! Anyone an idea how to fix this?

Best regards,
Eric

Had the same problem. Your channel ID's are too long (probably the channel name itself). See if you can use short ids instead (less than about 10 characters).
Alternatively petition for longer channel id variables in GBPVR :-)

Can you email your xmltv file to me at support@devnz.com so I can take a look?

It'll currently accept channel IDs up to 50 characters, which has been enough for all channels to date. This hasnt changed in nearly two years.

First of all, thanks for another great release! I really like the aditions to the TV guide, especialy the "Find more" function, but there are a couple of things that seems a bit strange to me Smile

I see that there's now a Resume button under the Play button when you view a recording, but the "Prompt for resume" selection is still avalible in the config app. Would it be possible to keep the old feature so you can select between the new button and the old pop-up prompt?

The other thing is in the Search Guide, can you add support for cellphone style input in the search field so it can be used with a remote? (like in the filename entry on the manual recordings screen).

Yeah, I know. I'm not so sure aboutthis one myself. I may yet remove this new feature and put it back to how it was. Seemed like a good idea at the time. I always need to keep the old mechanism anyway, since plugins etc need it (my videos, VA etc).

I'll put it on my list of things to do. What do they do in countries like sweden with the few extra characters?

Here in Denmark (with our Æ, Ø and Å) we have Æ and Å on the ABC button and Ø on the MNO button.

Thanks for looking into this Smile
